Great value for run-and-gun camera ops without a sound engineer.
I shoot a lot of interviews that don't have the budget for a sound engineer so I needed my own solution with two transmitters. In the case of the standard pro Sennheisers or Sony's, this means megabucks.I was a little worried buying these because of the price but in my opinion any negative reviews are down to operator error or lack of understanding about how the radio environment effects these. They. are solidly built, very reliable and easy to setup / change frequencies etc when you take a moment to learn how they work. The main issue is that the factory settings are not ideal. The gain (volume setting) is wayyyy to high so you hear the gain hiss every time someone speaks. I found that turning the gain down and increasing the mic sensitivity setting really helped. Also, the transmitter power (the amount of signal being sent) is set to high by default, which again can bring in noise or interference. I reduced this to 'medium'. Last of all I set the two channels far apart from each other - initially A on channel 10 and B on channel 30. I've changed these a lot since because every location could have different interference going on.For example, settings that were fine normally when used in a crowd were constantly dropping off. This is *normal*. I just changed the channel from 30 to 50 and hey-presto, no more issues. The speaker was a long way off so I boosted the signal to high as well. These are pro mics and have these features so you can tailor them to your environment. Just find a video on YouTube to take you through the menus - which for radio mics are very easy once you know how - and you will love them.As a final note, I bought Sennheiser mics that screw in fine with these and I keep the provided ones as spares. Sound guys say the provided ones aren't the best, and everyone recognises the Sennheisers (they are quite distinctive) as being top of the range so it doesn't hurt your rep using them either. They aren't expensive so consider doing that.Either way, take some time at home learning how to use them before going in to the field, take plenty of AA batteries and you are sorted. Very pleased.

Great unit works perfectly!!!
I work with a lot of high-end wireless units. There is definitely nothing wrong with the Saramonic wireless systems. If I were to give you a bid if it dies it would be know what frequencies are banned in your area and make your final decision then.Remember that there is the UW MIKE nine and 10. I chose the nine series because The 500 MHz band is not band in my location.
