Galaxy S7 Waterproof Case, Ghostek Atomic 2.0 Series for Samsung Galaxy S7 (Black)

At 1st glance this case seems to be the real deal, however upon closer inspection, several flaws are apparent. Let's start with the back. No protection for the back of the phone, drop this on a rock or something backside down, not good. The back is a thin plastic material that is glued on to the aluminum frame. There is a small gap under the aluminum edge of the frame it is glued on to. This gap, along with normal pressure applied to it from day to day usage is what is causing the plastic back to split and tear, along that edge. The black rubber material around the camera lens should be a little bit softer, to absorb more shock when dropped.The front is cosmetically appealing, the screen protector is very shiny, but is a finger print magnet. It is hard to snap on to the frame with out getting dirt or finger prints under it but it can be done. The holes for the camera, sensor etc. are off center. The cover over the fingerprint scanner seems flimsy.I could have put up with most of this, but the shortcomings in actual use are what compelled me to return it. People had a hard time understanding me, in normal and speaker phone mode. I noticed a definite loss of signal. I went from 2 bars 4G to 1 bar 1X in my basement alone. Further study definitely showed minor cell signal loss in some areas. I think it may have something to do with the aluminum frame blocking the internal antenna? WiFi didnt seem affected. Overall I don't think this case is worth the money. Maybe if it was 20 bucks or something but not $54. Your mileage may vary...

Update 3/20/18: I'm on my second case, which appeared to have fixed the issue, but I was wrong. The back collapsed like on the first one. The case has protected my phone from a few falls, but the durability of this case leaves a lot to be desired.The case is pretty good, overall, but has a major defect in its design. There is a gap between the plastic on the back of the case and the back of the phone body. Over time, with normal usage, this plastic will flex and eventually fail, meaning the case isn't waterproof anymore. Ghostek could fix this, by just filling that area, or moving the plastic closer to the body, so I feel that for a $60-70 case, it's a pretty poor design choice. Mine lasted just over 4 months before this came up.That being said, I'm getting a replacement in the mail soon, and their policy is that you get two replacements, maximum, FYI.

Well... Here's the scoop! The product itself seems fine... Not the most perfect quality... little issues here and there... Like the plastic that goes over the listening part of the phone had a wrinkle in it. I liked it once I had it all together... but then I went to charge it and guess what? None of my charger cords would fit into the opening. Just the main samsung cord that came with the galaxy. Anything else you have or bought other than that... Forget it! Can't get it in the opening. Bottom Line: nothing seems to fit but a samsung galaxy cord. Even that one was hard to insert. I almost had to slightly bend it forward in order to get it in, and even then it was tight and hard to insert. I would recomend that you get another product if you want a decent case for the Galaxy S7.Thanks!

Ghostek does it again. This case is the best thing since sliced bread. It is Waterproof, Dust-Proof, Snow-Proof, Mud-Proof, & Shock-Proof and all around Kid Proof. The rubber guard around the outside of the case is a nice addition to give you a solid grip on the phone and it will not slip out of your hand. The case fits my phone perfectly with all the plugin's lining up. The case is strong but not thick and my phone still responds instantly to a push of a button. I like the fact that it's Waterproof since I know all to well how much of a killer water is to a phone. I haven't dunked it but it has gotten wet and everything is still operational. This case is pretty much bulletproof and I imagine this will be the last case I buy for this phone. I recommend the Galaxy S7 Waterproof Case, Ghostek® Atomic 2.0 Series because it gives me an added level of security and safety with my phone.

This is a very nice case, and I believe it will protect the phone well especially with water. There are a few things that I believe will be downfalls by what I have seen so far. The covers over the charging port seem to be a little flimsy, if they fall off then the phone would no longer be waterproof. The covering over the screen does make the screen a little less responsive. The cover also separated from the front piece a little. It still works fine, I'm not sure how it would be in water. Overall The case is very nice, but there are a few possible downfalls.

The main reason I bought this case was for the aluminum outer frame. Not only is it functional in protecting my phone from drops but its beveled edge is stylish and has a premium feel. Being that the case is completely enclosed and waterproof adds a sense of comfort. So far I am happy with my purchase. I only wish the backing on the case had a tad more texture. Overall a great case for anyone who likes a little more added security for there phone.

There are a lot of smartphone cases on Amazon and this is one rather expensive one so I wanted to really get to know it before I reviewed it. The case looks great, fits perfectly and functions as it should, however as with most waterproof cases to use the head phone jack you need an adapter. This may seem like a small price to pay for complete protection but it quickly gets annoying. Aside from that one quirk this is as good as or better than an OtterBox.

Its definitely not worth $46- Is it water proof? I guess it could be. Just understand before buying this the only protection that you will be getting from this case is from a thin piece of plastic. I honestly cant see how this is going to protect the phone when I do drop it. This should be a $10- case. Other than that, it looks good. Fits great. I wouldn't buy this if you want protection though. I would go with Otter. I own one, I know they work.

Within the first week the seal in the front case broke. I will be returning this item. It is not durable whatsoever. Very disappointed. Not recommended for purchasing. Buyers BEWARE!
