It's a tight fit!
I had gotten one of these for a different RAM I had a few years ago so when I got this truck I knew what to get because this thing works. For the other truck I couldn't tell you who I got it from other than Amazon. This one is identical best I can tell. If you look at my pictures, you can see the one that shows the brace up against the idler arm. It isn't putting any pressure on it, it's just there up against it. Doesn't come with instructions so here you go:1st thing to do is take the nut off the pitman arm and replace it with the shaft nut (and new lock washer) supplied. After you get the brace in place under the stabilizer bar, don't tighten the bolts all the way leaving them just a little loose. It does help to have an extra pair of strong hands. I did it myself and got one bolt in crooked stripping the threads in the frame. My fault. Now you can mount the bearing in place at the gearbox shaft. Use a 4 lb hammer to tap the brace one way or the other to get the bolts aligned for the bearing. Once that's tight, then tighten the brace mounting bolts and the set screws (which are 3 mm by the way). Don't forget to grease the fitting on the bearing. You should be done in about an hour on the ground. Sooner if you have it in the air.

Did not fit
Did not fit was off by 1/2inch on the center of the steering gearbox. I guess I got a defective part sending this back

Not too hard to install and it did help the steering
Not too hard to install and it did help the steering. Even though my gear box is bad it still made some difference. I am waiting to decide what gear box I am going to install.

Well how?
So product appears to be quality, yet am I suppose to guess how to install it, no instructions of any kind. I'm sure I can figure it out but hey a few pictures might make it a lil bit easier.

Very nice upgrade
Very good upgrade but it's recommended you have a helper to hold it in place while you install this I think the real problem in my truck was all the steering parts were worn out this part the brace will just add extra stability a rebuilt my front end this may be the solutions to everybody else but since I had the steering brace I used all that anyhow if you buy one take note of the part number for the pillow block bearing because someday that will wear out and you will want to know what it is so you can replace it make sure you get under there in grease all the fittings properly to keep your truck running nice for a long time don't trust your oil change shop to grease everything they're in a hurry and get told by the boss to skip doing things I have worked in those places before and they do that and the workers get paid minimum so they don't really care
