Foul!, with a capital FOUL.
I ordered this part seeing 7 5 star reviews and 3 1 star reviews. I regretfully took the risk. Part arrived this afternoon. Fit my car just fine. But, THE COMPRESSION PISTON SEIZED UP AFTER ONLY 3 ATTEMPTS. I tested it once to insure it worked. I compressed it again to prep for installing belt. Didn't quite get the belt installed onto pulley on first attempt. I tried to compress tensioner again, and it seized. IT WOULD NOT BUDGE AT ALL. I waited for a few minutes, tried again - TOTALLY SEIZED up, WILL NOT BUDGE. I already ordered replacement. This is piss poor.

Just like OEM
This actually looks just like my oem. I had no issues using this item on my BMW 530i for tensioning properly

I must've gotten a bad one.
I have typically had good experience with Uro Parts on my 2005 BMW X5. Not this time. Maybe I got a bad one, but the hydraulic piston would not budge more than 1/4 inch. It needs to move more than that in order to install/remove the serpentine belt. I have returned this one and purchased a similar (and cheaper) option. I am disappointed, but I understand it might be a "one-off".You can see how it turned out by looking for my review of this part: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08L49VCCMBottom line: Life is too short for defective parts. Though I understand it happens, I have little patience for this.
