Amazon Collection 14k Gold Rope Chain Necklace

This chain is very, very fine. I read that in the other reviews, but didn't quite believe it. I ended up returning it because it was too long, and also it just didn't feel robust enough to wear all the time. Also, you have to be extremely careful about it when you take it off. It needs to be hung up, otherwise it tangles. If you are planning to take good care of it, and want a very subtle chain, it is a nice one. However, if you want something that's going to hold up to rigorous wearing, I'd look for a thicker one. I noticed a lot of negative reviews saying that it was too thin. Really get out a ruler and look at how thick .4mm is. Mechanical pencil lead and fine tipped pens are .5mm or .7mm. It really is quite tiny. I think it is a lovely product, but did return it for another.

The necklace looks thicker online, when it arrived, it was slightly thicker than my fingernail. But it is very pretty, I bought it for my mom. I saw other reviews saying people wore this chain with pendants, I don't know if it's thick enough to hold hers. Unfortunately the way it was shipped, when I opened the box, the necklace (18inches) was all tangled in the back--that was unexpected. I ordered it around noon yesterday and it didn't arrive until 6pm the next day. I was right about to call UPS and ask for a refund for paying for next day delivery. All in all, I'm happy with the product.

I have had this chain for a couple of months and absolutely love it!!!!! I am hard on my necklaces because I shower and sleep in them and seeing how delicate this was when I received it didn't think it would last. I put a 14 carat gold and opal cross on it and they look beautiful together. As I said I never take it off and have had no problems. Usually they catch on my sweater or t-shirts and I break them but not this one. I am going to order another 1 for my 8 year old granddaughter and the Love You to the Moon and back charm. I am so pleased with this 1 I have no reservations about buying it for an 8 year old

I loved the chain. It was thin, maybe a little delicate. overall perfect for my pendent my boyfriend got me for Christmas two years ago. Last week i finished saying how long ( nine months) it lasted considering how thin like it was, and today it broke. I was so heartbroken. I loved that chain. I believe i jinked it when i said that. Any way i am going to get the same one again because the first time i spent a long time looking for the perfect chain that went with the pendent and this was it.

The chain is delicate, but I needed something with a very small o-ring so I could use it with a number of pendants that do not have a very large opening to insert a chain. This fits the bill and it looks very nice with the cross that needed a 20" chain. I have been removing it at night but so far it seems to be strong enough to wear every day. Very happy with the purchase so far.

This is the perfect thin chain that I needed for my small delicate diamond pendant to produce a floating effect. And it is in white gold! It was so difficult to find a thin 16in white gold chain. All chains I have found has been 18in silver! If you are wondering how thin this chain is then it is usually the size that you find when you purchase a pendant at any jewelry store. For some reason I had no idea it was this hard to just find a chain by itself without having to purchase a pendant at a jewlery store like zales or helzelberg! Thanks amazon for a great find!

This necklace is very pretty, but it is much smaller/thinner/finer than I anticipated. It is literally the smallest link chain I have ever seen - almost like hair, smaller even than a baby necklace, but this would be way too long for a baby. It is barely visible around my neck. It might show up better on someone with darker skin. Perhaps I should have known that the price was too low for the chain to be very substantial. I'll be keeping it, because it is very pretty. It might be better with a tiny pendant of some kind. Just be aware - this is very, very light.

I bough this chain because my niece has broken my original one. I thought the chain would not be as thin as it is, but it seems very sturdy. It's been yanked and tugged on and has yet to be broken, which is saying something with a three-year-old and three month old niece. It has held up better than many of my previous chains already and would recommend it.

IT is not what I expected ' I thought by the picture the chain would have been a little thicker. I would send it back , but I need it for a gift. Not impressed

Best white gold necklace I have.It's very lightweight and fine but quite strong.Looks great with a small pendant.
