LuminoxMen's 'Modern Mariner' Swiss Quartz and Stainless-Steel-Plated Watch, Color:Black (Model: 6252.BO)

Let me start with the watch itself is magnificent. Quality of construction seemed top notch and the package arrived in the manufacturer's original packaging with tags, manual, and warranty card. The manufacturer's warranty, as many have noted is void unless purchased from an authorized Luminox Dealer. Not sure what would be offered from the Amazon warranty, as i did not have to use it.Bottom line is i returned the watch due to the fact that the luminecense did not work at all. I could not see the watch at all in the dark from even 24" away. I am guessing that this was an unfortunate mishap and i received a watch that slipped through quality control and this went unnoticed. Or perhaps the reason that the watches are being sold for such a great discount is due to the fact that they are "seconds" or somehow not quite up to snuff to be sold at an authorized dealer.None the less, the Amazon return was quick and easy, with a full refund provided as well as the cost of return shipping. Now i have to figure out whether or not to try again.I wanted to follow up on my review. I did purchase the watch again, however from a different vendor due to my at the time concerns that I may have received something that was less than it was supposed to be. I did purchase at a discount for a similar price, and when I received the watch I did the same thing that I did with the first one, which was take it into a dark room to see the glow. It was faint at best and I was thinking, oh well, perhaps this is what it is or maybe I just didn't give it enough time or maybe my eyes hadn't adjusted enough yet. I decided none the less to keep it as I really like the look and feel of the watch. I was hopeful that maybe with a little time and allowing my eyes to adjust would help with the visibility in the dark. Went to bed that night and woke up partway through the night and the watch was sitting on my night stand just glowing away. All blue for the hour markers and hands, and orange for the 12 o'clock position. It was very legible. Since then I have taken it to have the band adjusted. Had one link removed and moved the fine adjustment a notch and it fits just like I like it. It is a relatively heavy watch but the band is comfortable. After about 2 weeks now I have had no issues. It is keeping time perfectly and has had no issues that other people have mentioned such as bezel or watch pin problems. I couldn't be happier.While I was initially disappointed with what I received, I must say that the watch I originally received was probably ok and I just didn't give it enough time and the vendor is providing a quality product.

Very durable, a little heavy but not bad. I wear this watch all of the time. It has been under water, dirt and I've dropped it several times on concrete! To my suprise, it wasn't damaged; the bezel or the crystal had no cracks or chips. This watch is everything it was described to be. Very satisfied with the Luminox. Keeps time accurately & is a nice looking watch.UPDATE - ADJUSTING DATE AND STEM CAME OFF IN MY FINGERS! TIME STORE STATES THEY ARE AUTHORIZED DEALER. CALLED LUMINOX TO USE MFG. WARRANTY, BUT TIME STORE IS NOT AN AUTHORIZED DEALER! IF NOT AUTHORIZED DEALER, LUMINOX WILL NOT HONOR WARRANTY -BUYER BEWARE - KUDOS TO JEFFERY AT AMAZON, CUSTOMER SERVICE - HE HELPED GET A FULL REFUND BECAUSE OF THE MITIGATING CIRCUMSTANCES. Nice solid, quality watch. Only issue when I was ordering it the title of the watch said, Luminox men's modern mariner automatic. I thought it was an automatic watch not battery operated. Other than that seems like another quality Luminox. This is my 5th Luminox.

I've had this watch for a week now, and couldn't be happier. I have a few "shiny" watches but was looking for something a little more masculine. This watch definitely fits the bill. Only complaint is that the second hand is mis-aligned ever so slightly. It seems that someone on here has a vendetta against luminox watches because his bezel fell off. I normally don't leave product reviews, but I thought luminox needed some help with their averages considering the fact that that guy has left a horrible review for every luminox watch listed on Amazon. Very happy with this purchase.
