HoneywellRCH9310WF5003/W Lyric Wifi Thermostat

Very hard to setup originally. Worked for about 6 months until it somehow lost connection to my Honeywell account which took finding the right honeywell tech support number and 2 hours on the phone to get it removed from my old account and re-setup under a new honeywell home account... fun. Worked for another year after that if you ignore the constant total-connect geofence crossed notifications when I'm sitting at home and the intermittent wifi issues everyone complains about. The schedule / energy saving app features suck also.Well this week, my furnace and thermostat lost power. Had to get an HVAC company out to figure out the problem. Blown fuse and transformer on the furnace control board. Watched him replace these then as soon as we connected the Lyric Round Wifi Thermostat it blew the brand new fuse and transformer on the furnace a second time. Within 5 minutes the battery in the thermostat was very hot. He replaced the fuse and transformer a second time then reinstalled my old original thermostat and everything has been good so far.Basically this thing failed within 2 years and caused significant damage to my furnace when it failed.

The Lyric Round has a definite learning curve, but once it's up and running and you play with the app and features, it's pretty straight forward and very cool.One note, to help any that run into the same issue I did.. Create an account with Honeywell, through the app, before starting the process of setting up the thermostat. When the app says "login" it means into the account you created, not into the thermostat to set it up. This might save some time for others.

Wouldn't connect after 1.5hrs on phone with technician. No longer a supported product.

I was initially happy with the Lyric Wifi Thermostat and liked the ability to connect it to an app on our phones. Unfortunately, recently the Lyric deleted itself from our apps and we were getting a low battery warning. We replaced the battery and contacted customer service because we could not reconnect the Lyric to our phones. They were helpful, but we were still unable to reconnect as the Lyric kept resetting at the point it was trying to connect to Honeywell and knocking us off of it's Wifi connection. A few days later, it quit completely and is now dead.

This review is for a product I purchased in 2016. The thermostat never worked well right from the get go, so I replaced it with another model from another company. I still have this item in it's original box, and I walk by it frequently thinking I will contact Honeywell and express my disappointment. I haven't yet, but as I was writing reviews for some other products I thought I would look back and write one for this product as well. The wifi connection would constantly disconnect even though my motem and router were not but 10 feet away. The app for the phone only worked on occasion. A few times I came home to find my house at an astronomically high temperature both in winter, from the heat coming on and staying on at a higher temperature than was set as well as in the summer when the AC temp was set too high, so it never came on. I had used the app to set both temperatures and the thermostat wasn't in sync with it. The temperature reading was plus or minus 2-3 degrees in each direction most of the time. The small round white disc at the top/front of the thermostat was loose and fell inside the unit (not sure what it was for or did). Looking back now I wish I had contacted Honeywell in hopes of a beneficial solution. My bad, but I wouldn't recommend this product.

Got the product in a reasonable amount of time. I need to get familiar with the models, this one has a little more difficult setup software than the newer ones. No fault of the company. They sent what they specd. Would order again.

Useless, it will not stay connected to the internets so you can't set it, and we have had to replace the batteries every week. Going to have to call the installer out to uninstall this and put in something now. And can't return it so the $125+ was wasted.
