Accurate, easy to use.
These are great salinity tests. I've used many brands. AquaChek actually gives you a number not a color you have to kind of guess at.

Consistent results
Arrived fast and accuracy and consistency seems to be consistent with digital TDS tester and Hayward chlorine generator. I was getting low salt reading from my Taylor test kit and didnโt want to over salt the pool.

Convenient salt level testing for swimming tool that use a chlorinator
Needed to accurately check our swimming pool salt level for our chlorinator. Much easier to manage than liquid/pellet chlorine.

only 10 test strips
I didn't realize until I recieved test strips that there is only 10 strips, then looking back at the amazon ad I see number of strips are never stated. OK my fault for not noticing. Planning to add salt chlorinizer system to my pool and bought these to help figure out how much salt I will need to add to get it into the correct range. Will have to be careful not to waste any strips. The chlorinator will indicate if need to add salt when within it's testing range so I believe after the salt level is in the ball park I won't need to use test strips. Haven't used test strips yet but rated 3 stars because of lack of desciption for the number of test strips. Update 3/20/2013 Used first test strip... reading was 2,500 PPM. Pool store tester (electronic) read 3,200. When I get the intelichlor and intelichem installed will compare to that as well. But calculated bags of salt needed to get about 3,200 PPM did test out to 3,200 PPM with pool store tester, if using test strips only I would have added more bags of salt and might be too high. Update 10/1/2013 I installed the salt chlorinator system and all was working well after putting amount of salt required for size pool. After several months chlorinator wasn't working... these test strip indicated low salt level but both pool store and chlorinator system said salt level was OK but... wasn't producing chlorine. After many calls to Pentair that went no where even buying a new chlorinator cell to replace the 4 month old one (so much for 1 year warranty)I decided to bring salt level to what this test strip would indicate as correct. Well it worked! Cell is producing chlorine again. But both the cell and pool store says salt is too high but this strip reads less salt then either. These test strips appear to be more accurate then the other two. From now on I will continue to use these strips and believe what they indicate. After two months of cell not producing chlorine it turns out problem was the intellichem and pool store measuring salt too low. I've change number of stars from 3 to 4, I still think price is too high... $1.10 per strip... and only 10 strips per bottle.

Easy to Use. Accurate.
Easy to Use. Accurate. I use a shot glass of pool water. Results in around 6-8 minutes. Results correlate well with Taylor drop test and pool store test. Easier than Taylor drop Test

Easy and accurate.
Iโve tried several salt strip tests, but these seem to be the easiest and most accurate.

Just not accurate enough
These quantab test strips lack the accuracy I need for my pool. I've been having a lot of variance in my salt water chlorinator cell (from 0-3600), so I wanted to get a more accurate reading before adding salt, this was not the answer. Presumably I used to much water in my first couple samples, and(or) the temperature was so low that it affected the reading, in either case the Taylor Silver Nitrate test shows 4200 ppm (after 4 tests within 1-2 drop of each other, the Aquacheck showed between 1000 and 2500. If you have a salt water chlorinator, it will be infinitely more accurate than these, so just buy the Taylor salt water kit if you want to ck the chlorinator.

Happy with these
I don't have a drop test to check the accuracy but they read higher after I added salt and the reading makes sense. If anything, my chlorinator is a bit on the whacky side. I may amend this review after I get a chemistry test to check these against. Handy to use after a big rain.
