The film begins with Rahul (Shah Rukh Khan) mourning his wife Tina (Rani Mukerji). Tina has left letters for her daughter, Anjali (Sana Saeed), the last of which tells the story of how Tina accidentally came in between Rahul and his college best friend, also named Anjali, and asks young Anjali to try to find the adult Anjali (Kajol) and bring her and Rahul together. When they meet again, Anjali and Rahul have immediate attraction, but Anjali is already engaged to Aman (Salman Khan).The plot of this sweet film is enjoyable, if predictable, and while the musical numbers were good, with one being memorable. The story is divided into two parts: college life and adult life. Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol do a wonderful job playing both college students and mature adults. Kajol's emotional acting was also good. Mukerji, in her breakthrough role was natural and polished. Sana Saeed, in her first role, was the life of the movie, though. Overall, it's easy to see why it has become a classic, as it is an example of Bollywood at it's best.

This film is one of my top 3 Hindi films of all time. I've rewatched it many times over the years. I love this movie as it has beautiful and passionate songs and musicals and amazing cast and love story. Shahruk and Kajol are my favorite ship, though I love all the 3 main cast: Shahruk, Kajol and Rani. I was ecstatic to find it here on Amazon Prime with eng subs, especially to all the songs! I've watched other eng subbed versions and many of them do not sub the songs so it was hard to understand them. This is a great chic flick to watch with the girls. I highly recommend this movie!

The movie is above average and caters to teenage audience. Col Almeida (Johnny Lever) can be Karan Johar himself as so taken up is he, by all things British. If it is a Karan Johar flick, he will always manage to show his utmost fascination with the west. Bet on it. Salman Khan is cool. Kajol is loud. SRK is just okay. I hate the dialogue" Tussi ja rahe ho, tussi na jayo". A child playing match maker is too ridiculous to watch.

The story is beautiful and very catchy. Characters are very silly and the film is full of American cinema clichés, however, this only adds beautifully to the film's humor and charm. Songs are catchy too and choreographies are rich, well performed and entertaining.

I just can't get enough of Bollywood! The films are so good! Shahrukh and Kajol are both simply amazing in this one, great story! Props to Salman as well! Great job!

The backstory and conclusion are beautiful and I love how the daughter and grandmother play match maker. Beautiful dancing scenes and music. Also, good fun scenes. Definite tear jerker at the end, in a good way.

LOVED IT, LOVED IT TO THE MAX. MY FAVORITES, SHAHRUKH KHAN AND KAJOL. NO COMPLAINTS AT ALL. AGAIN I ENJOY MOVIES THAT SHAHRUKH KHAN AND KAJOL APPEARS IN LIKE KABHI KUSHI KABHIE GHAM ( 1 OF MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE FILM). JUST BEAUTIFUL.

While the songs can get draggy, this film has got a great story and great heart. The acting is spectacular , and the script is pretty good, and very emotional. It is a great movie.

Per me è perfetto anche il film assolutamente perfetto, come tutti i film di Bollywood sono un po' lunghi ma ne vale sempre la pena guardarli soprattutto se si tratta di certi artisti particolari come sharukhan kajol, i loro film sono instancabili

Als Rahul im Unterricht sagt, Freundschaft ist Liebe, geht Anjali erst ein Licht auf, denn bis zu diesem Zeitpunkt hat sie in Rahul immer nur ihren besten Freund gesehen, aber niemals einen zukünftigen Ehemann. Als es ihr klar wird, ist es für sie zu spät, denn er hat sich in eine andere verguckt. Mehr verrate ich nicht, aber der Film ist sehr schön, traurig und emotional, typisch Bollywood.

Ich liebe diesen Film! Daher der Kauf extra mit DEUTSCHER Synchronisation... Das ist kein Film sondern viele Videos und nur das erste Teilstück ist in deutsch! was sollen Der Rest ist im Originalton, nicht mal Untertitel. Ich bin schwer enttäuscht. Die DVD ist leider ein absoluter Fehlkauf und in meinen Augen absolute Abzocke!!!

Ein ganz toller Film mit einer meiner 3 Lieblingsschauspielerinnen von den Bollywoodfilmen. Die Geschichte gebe ich hier nicht weiter, das kann man im Text oben zur Genüge lesen. Dieser Film gehört bei mir zu denen ganz oben auf meiner Liste, er ist einfach toll was die Geschichte, den Gesang und auch die Kleidung angeht. Ich mag es gerne, wenn die Darsteller in indischer Kleidung auftreten und nicht so hoch modern, vorallem bei den Frauen. Das Anschauen lohnt sich auf jeden Fall.

Egal wie andre Rezensionen hier geschrieben werden, ich kann diesen Film für Bollywood Fans nur empfehlen.. Herzschmerz, Gesang, Tanz und gaaaanz viel Liebe..Ich habe damals diesen Film im Fernsehen zu spät angemacht, nämlich ab der Szene, wo Sie mit Ihm durch den Regen läuft zum Pavillion hin, und hatte so gar keine Ahnung worum es in diesem Film ging, aber war damals schon faszieniert von ihm.. Als ich nun eine Bekannte traf und wir über Filme sprachen, konnte sie mir sofort den Namen des Filmes sagen, und ich wusste, das ich den haben will.. und ich bereue es nicht. Habe ihn nun vor knapp 2 Monaten bei Amazon gekauft, und schon zweimal alleine, einmal mit meinem Mann und einmal mit meiner Tochter zusammen gesehen.. Er ist so toll, die Handlung ist so herzzereissend, und ich mag Shakrukh Khan als Schauspieler sehr. Habe mir danach noch 4 seiner Filme gekauft. TOLL TOLL TOLL.. allezusammen.. Grosses Bollywood
