12pcs 6" Bamboo Handle Crochet Hook Knit Craft Knitting Needle Weave Yarn 3-10mm

I love these hooks! I have never used bamboo hooks and bought these solely for the price and the larger hooks. I have a complete set of aluminum and steel hooks, but did not have some of the larger hooks. I like sustainable items so I decided to give these a try. I was very impressed. I prefer to use them over my aluminum or plastic hooks. The look and feel great. I sometimes get lost in my crochet projects and can be at it for hours after a long day at work on the computer. With my other hooks, my hand sometimes starts to get stiff a bit (I'm a middle age person with no arthritis) and the needles are rather cold to the touch. The bamboo hooks are softer on the hands and warmer to the touch. I also don't get yarn snags with them like I do with some of my alumimum hooks. I know that there have been reviews about bamboo hooks having to be sanded or oiled. I don't know if those are for this particular brand, but my hooks arrived well made, without rough edges or sharp points and I did not have to treat them in any way. I began using them immediately and could tell the difference. My stitches are more concise and they glide over all types and weights of yarn. The only negative I have about them is that the size can be difficult to read on the smaller hooks and on some of the larger hooks that are not stamped with the darker size. They also do not have the American alpha sizing on the hooks. This is not a problem for me as most patterns give both the Alpha size and the mm size, and I tend to choose my hook based on the yarn style anyway and don't always go with the recommended size from the label or pattern. If you want a different hook experience these are for you. they get smoother the more you use them, like any wood or bamboo product. They are also very nice to look at with grain markings and varying coloration from the bamboo. You'll definitely enjoy them. I just ordered two more sets. One to keep as back up needles (I tend to work on multiple projects and don't like to go in search of hooks) and one to give to a close friend. The price makes it easy to buy multiple sets.

These hooks are nice and smooth. They did get hung up on cotton yarn but otherwise they were nice.

These were delivered today. I took them out of the package and immediately grabbed my yarn. I was waiting for them to show up to start on my new project. Sadly, I discovered these crochet hooks are very cheaply made. They are not fully sanded smooth or evenly. Quite a few of my most commonly used hooks (pictured 5.5 and 6.5) have major flaws that make them impossible to use. My yarn (and I tried several different types, textures, and sizes) gets stuck in the rough spots and splinters of these hooks. I’m very disappointed with the quality. They may look pretty and feel nice in the hand, but they are no where near worth the money and will leave you frustrated and your yarn frayed.

Some of the crochet hooks are ok, some warped- 2 to the point of unusable. Some smooth, some rough enough that I had to sand them. I couldn’t get the same size stitch on the piece I’m working on. I’m keeping these because of the low price and it’s getting more difficult to return purchases to Amazon. If you just want to check wooden hooks out, good to buy. If you need to achieve gage get something else.

I bought these to use during my long flight. Quality is fair, price reasonable, no issues with yarn getting stuck at all. The only thing is I couldn’t figure out was the sizing as they are not labeled . I just compared them to the needle that was labeled for accuracy.

These hooks are aggravating to use. A couple of them weren't sanded down properly because there was little wood shards inside the hook part that snagged on the yarn on every stitch I did. I tried sanding it down but now the hook area looks warped & distorted.Another annoying aspect is that yarn, and I tried different kinds of yarn, doesn't slide well on these hooks. Slide is important to make crocheting fun instead of a chore. I don't know if that means they should be coated or buffed with something but yarn will not slide in its present form.I tried to use these but after 30 minutes or so of use, I switched back to my regular aluminum hooks on every project I'm working on. They really slowed me down.

The product arrived on time and as described. The hooks are smooth and don't catch the wool.

Beautifully made lovely to handle but if just beginning yo crotchet like myself they are too hard because the shape is straight an you need that bend near the hook at first . But otherwise they are brilliant

Terrible quality. The wood splits and splinters after a couple of stitches making it impossible to crochet anything with these hooks.
