Tefal L9933015 Ingenio Removable Black Handle with Red or Black Button

It’s very difficult when you buy expensive pans that have removable handles. And then your brother throws two of those pans in the oven and they melt. This company actually works really well. And no, they are not ovenproof nor were the ones that melted in my oven before.

I saw this first in my daughter’s house in UK. It is a great way to avoid clutter storing pits and pans. You can use one removable handle for all of them, therefore saving storage space. This one fits the ingenio line from UK. Very good quality. You can order them on Amazon but some of their products charge a hefty shipping fee while others are free shipping.

The original handles with our (wonderful) Rapid Chef nesting pot set were disintegrating (the springs rusted out) and those handles are NLA. We bought a cheap, Chinese handle and it dropped a pot of spaghetti on the sole :( This handle grabs with authority, won't let go and appears very well made.

Ingenio is an excellent system of sturdy construction. I have bought several pots and pans over the years and decided to get a second handle.Quality costs and all will last many years.

Now I can't open them because the mechanism has slightly melted. I am now trying cheaper but entirely metal ones.
