Q: It states folic acid & then folate elsewhere. which is it? there's a difference. my gene mutation makes folic acid harmful so we can only take folate.

The structures differ by one hydrogen caused by pH difference. Folic acid has a COOH, folate is COO, so they are the same. I don't know about your mutation, but one somewhat common one is inability to process folic acid which won't hurt you but is just ineffective.

Q: Does this have caffeine in it?

There is no Caffeine. I never without it. I take 2 capsules in the Am and Pm before I go to sleep.
