Fits my car PERFECTLY. There are several more joints on it than a typical umbrella, so it's not as strong. It's much easier to fold than those thin, wire trimmed ones. Keeps the car cool, opens easily and closes easily. Because It's so wide and has so many joints, I just make sure my sun visors are up before I open it. I take my time and treat it gently. If you are rough and throw it around, it probably won't last.

I ordered this windshield sun shade for the car in the Florida heat. Prior to using it, the car's inside temps would soar, making it painful to enter the car. The sun baking the dashboard would radiate heat even after leaving sun. The first time I used it, the car did not really get hot - the visor reflected the heat, keeping the car a pleasant temp. It was so easy to use, that I used the shade even for a short stop at the store. This sunshade is a perfect solution. It's umbrella mechanism is intuitive and easy to open and secure in place by lowering the sun visors. The "handle" has an elbow that fold out of the way after installing. completing the fit for my car, the top of the visor has a cut out for the rearview mirror. I ended up buying on for each other my cars and gave a few away as presents! 5 stars.

Fits window size perfectly on my Kia Sorento. A little hard to place on window as it opens awkwardly and the rear view mirror is in the way. Snaps into place firmly, but seems as tho the arms won't last long. They are long and thin and wobble or invert sometimes when I try to place on the window. I like it overall, once I figured out how to use it. It definitely does its job well. The car is much cooler when I use it. I just wouldn't be surprised it if snaps apart one day.

I really like the umbrella functionality and the shade it provides, but I’ve ordered two of these now and they’ve both broke within a year. Cheap product.

I thought this was going to be a great purchase initially. It was easy to put in place and folded compactly. It was a good fit in my car and when I used it, it definitely kept the hit down while we were having a major heatwave. But after just about a week I began to notice that it had some minor problems. It is built like an umbrella by design and there are little pocket sleeves on the fabric part that hold the metal arms in place. The trouble is that these pockets are not very deep. When I folded the sunshade up to put it away a couple of the arms would tend to slip out of their pockets. A minor annoyance at first because I would have to slip two of the arms back into sleeve every time I deployed sunshade, but other than that it worked for awhile. However, after a few more days I noticed that the metal parts were not very durable and the various arms and spars were starting to bend out of shape. Perhaps that contributed to the slipping out of the sleeve on those first two arms? Or perhaps having to slip those arms into their pockets repeatedly contributed to the arms bending. In any case this thing kept getting more bent and battered with very light use and in about 2 and a half weeks it finally became such a twisted hunk of junk that I am throwing it out. Too bad because it really is a clever design and worked well in concept, but the materials are just too poor and it doesn’t hold up to use after far too short of time. I cannot recommend this at all. I’m going to look for a more conventional design next that is more straightforward and doesn’t have as many points of failure. Even though other types don’t fold as compactly, that won’t matter so much to me. More important that a product is better made and doesn’t self destruct in less than a month.

I had some trouble learning how the protector worked in the beginning and I was really tempted to send it back and just get one from Walmart. BUT, once I got the hang of it, I fell in love! It has complete window coverage for the both the front and back windshields. It really convenient in my case because my driver side sun visor is broken and I would not have had a way to hang up a regular one, luckily with this one, I don't even need a visor because IT LITERALLY ONLY TOUCHES THE WINDOW! I have a 2018 Nissan Altima for measurement references.

The first time it was a little difficult to set up since i was scared to rip it but since it has proven to be sturdy. I was really surprised at how much difference in temperature there is inside my vehicle compared to when i did not use this. We can quickly get in the car and not feel extremely hot (as we usually did) without having to blast the A/C. I would definitely recommend. It is very easy to fold and I love that it has a little pouch to put away like a regular umbrella and without taking much space.

While none of the sunshades I have purchased in this last year have done what their claimed which is keep the car a bit cooler, this one actually was the best out of them. None have held up as long either BUT sadly after ~10-15 uses it has now joined the rest of the graveyard sunshade pile. They always seem to have their metal rod pop out of the edge seams. I might try to duct tape ot to see if I can get it to last longer since this is the most I have paid too. I am so disappointed!!!!! I am careful opening, placing it in position and gently closing it back up. I store it the way they want: wrapped up/velcro/in sleeve. Basically, i am saying dont buy this one. I purchases this one month and 3days ago (July13,21-Aug16,21) and the sharp metal rods popped out 2 days ago. I dont even use this daily because of my fear of the metal sharp stabby rods slicing up or scratching my interior (past experiences with ALL my previous versions which is basically the wonky fold up/twist up to join the edges and make a small circle then elastic strap tightly for storage). This is not as thick or somewhat thick or even just quality material as I had hoped to really help the temp stay reasonable on inside. Its still the same very thin umbrella material with the shiny side to bounce sunrays and black on inside that all of the amazon sunshades seem to be. I guess I will try the accordion folded thick bad boy that I had in the past which was lost during the rush to clean out my car before tow truck took it away for insurance company to never give back after it was totalled. Oh and so delivered July 13th. Broke Aug 14th. Return window closed Aug 12th. So haha on me. Been trying to use it really carefully since already have left over scratches on the plastic around car liners of windows from initial try. Tried tapping up to wrap material over sharp extension rod so cheqp. Now Officially broken forever. I didn't use it for a long while because of the deep unrepairable damage of scratches but got desperate again being in new parking lot (surface and not garage) I think I used it 3 more times before the actual main rod busted thru so can't open at all. Nothing I can do will make this thing work. Every time I buy (and read reviews and take into account the number of stars and look for highest of all the reviews they all fail on me immediately or never live up to quality and break soon after. The amount of uses this thing has had in it's lifespan as a product is a joke. Not even 10x of use out of it.

Surprisingly easy to use. I used the car’s sunshades to keep it in place. Much easier than the fabric ones that are so flimsy when they get hot.

Was a tad sceptical about this product but it is genius and folds up really small. Fits my Honda CRV perfectly. Recommend!
