The Best Protocol Analyse in the market
I bought a couple of Savvius Insight appliances, and deployed them to remote offices . They made my job so much easier and more effective, that I keep ordering more. Just like Savvius recommends, I put them in-line between my cable modem and router, giving me packet capture and analysis on all of the traffic going in and out of the network. And because it is inline, and runs Ubuntu, I can install other software, like Snort, and use it as a firewall, an IDS, and a SIEM. I use the other ports to capture on internal network segments. One problem I have is managing all of my distributed Insights. Tasks like upgrading all of them one at a time are not fun. Savvius says they are working on a management solution
