Evenflo Arden Playard, Sky Blue

Moved this thing all over for three full weeks of visiting family. Super easy to put away and set up. Baby slept great in it and had no issues putting it back in the bag after every use. And it's super portable.

This is pretty standard pack and play, functioning very similarly to other products. You get a standard size play pen with netting on the sides, but there is also an infant insert that hangs from the sides. Important to note that this is only for infants/newborns, as any baby that can crawl could fall out of it or cause it to wobble. There is a foldable floor that fits into either the big play pen or the infant insert. The floor itself is not very comfortable, especially in the play pen. When we had our son sleep in this, we added a lot of blankets as it was really hard and you can feel the legs through it.When setting it up, you have to lock the sides first before you push the middle part down, which goes against instinct. It collapses down into a very compact size with the play pen itself in one piece and the infant insert in another piece. The hard "floor" folds around both of these and they fit into a nice carrying bag. But setting up and tearing down are both quick and easy. Well designed over all, I just wish the floor padding was nicer.

I have had a pack n play for both of our children and in my opinion this is one item that EVERY parent needs. We have two for our toddler. One that we have upstairs and one downstairs. The pack n play gives me a place where I can put our child where I can be confident that he will be safe while he is inside the pack n play.So when I saw this one, I wanted to get it to use at my Mom's house. The Evenflo Arden Playard doesn't come with a lot of bells and whistles but it does come with an insert that is perfect for newborns. You do not have to bend down to pick up your little one. If your little one has grown up enough to turn over, simply remove the infant insert and you have the remaining section of the pack n play to hold your youngster.The Pack n Play is easy to assemble. You receive it in a box with a carrying case. When you remove the carrying case you find the pad that you insert into the bottom of the assembled pack n play wrapped around the rest of the structure. When you pull the sides up and pop them into place, the legs fall where they should be and the center bar will reach the floor. The pack n play is put together nicely and all of the seems are tight and look like they will last for years.The structure popped together quickly and easily. The padding was soft and will provide protection for your little one. You can use the pack n play to give you a sense of comfort when you need to put your little one down in a safe environment that might not be child friendly. With the low price of this pack n play its great to take to grandma’s so that you can leave it there for when you visit. It is great for naps, so you do not have to worry about your little on falling off of a bed.

It is a privilege to provide a review.I have used two other similar play yards ( by other brands which cost notably more) and found this Evenflo play yard to be of equivalent quality. It is an excellent value! All parts are sturdy and straightforward.The Evenflo Arden Playard is compact for transporting/storing, and unpacks and sets up easily. The bassinet option is ideal for newborns, and attaches and removes easily for use with a larger child.I also especially like the aesthetic of this Playard! The black and grey with hints of blue are more modern looking than many other play yards. It also is easy to keep clean and gender-neutral.Overall I highly recommend this play yard. It's a great price, comes with all the basic features you need, and would be very handy at a grandparent's home, etc. I docked one star because I found taking it down slightly more cumbersome than I have with other play yards. The buttons to unfold the walls are hidden under the fabric, which makes them harder to locate. That said, this may have been a design decision to keep the look "cleaner". Regardless, I prefer external buttons for easier access.

This is a really sturdy, easy to use, easy to fold and transport playard! As soon as it arrived, my daughter and I set it up and tested it using her three month old baby boy as our test subject. We already have other Evenflo playards in the family, and we like them very much. This one has a similar set-up and take-down process to our others. The sides of the playard lock efficiently and stand very firm, and they unlock easily with adult hands, yet it is virtually impossible for any child to use the mechanism. The base cannot fold with a child in the playard, because weight will only make it hold more firmly as it presses down. The included bassinet is very well made with eight separate secure holders that fit snugly over the top rail of the playard. Also, the bassinet's base is made very strong and firm by the addition of metal poles which run the length of the bassinet and assure that even a heavy infant (one who is still not capable of pulling himself up) will rest safely even though suspended a few inches above the playard base. The entire playard folds quickly, neatly, and efficiently, including the entire bassinet. It is a very nice piece for the price. Note the lack of any overhead toys such as mobiles. We have had these furnished with other playards and have found them to be completely unnecessary. Additionally, the black, gray, and subtle blue color will fit well with any decor and doesn't look childish. For a family, this is a great travel sleep space. For a grandparent, it's an indispensible nap saver! I and my daughter highly recommend this Evenflo Arden Playard.
