Good to know the gel-Sonoma is available at Amazon
I was disappointed when my favorite retailer stopped carrying the Gel-Sonoma. I'm happy to see that Amazon has them at a decent price. These are my favorite shoes. They wear down a little more quickly than usual for me, but I like the fit enough to get past that quality. If you're looking for an extremely durable shoe, I'd probably find something with a harder sole. My old Asics are still solid after decades. These new ones are just a softer material that only lasts me maybe a year before they burn through. But the comfort is high and they look good. If you're not tough on your shoes, these fit the bill nicely!

Perfect running shoe
I bought this for my son (in the military) for Christmas. He loves everything about it- comfortable, stylish, easy to get on and off, nice support, lightweight. He can’t find anything bad to say about the shoe. And he uses them everyday. So that’s a winner in my book.

Light & Comfortable Sneakers
Look I know some people complain the tongues on these sneakers are sewn into the sneakers. I have zero problems putting these sneakers on with this unique feature. And, like what Asics are known for, being light, comfortable, & supportive sneakers, these sneakers check all the boxes. However, compared to the Asics I purchased 10-15 years ago, the quality is not up to par. The athletic support not as good, & the souls of the shoes don't feel as airy & pillowy as my Asics from 10-15 years ago. That being said, & for the price, these shoes are of excellent value & quality. For walking & standing long periods of time, they are great. Asics still make quality sneakers, but just not as good as they did in the past.

Great Everyday Shoe
Rarely is a shoe comfortable right out of the box. Usually there is a break-in period and it takes a few weeks for the shoe to finally feel "lived-in". I got these Asics for my 15 yo son to wear for like an everyday general workout shoe. He loves that they fit perfectly straight from the box. No blisters or hot spots from having to break them in. He wears these shoes for everything from yard work to walking the dog, to lifting at the gym. The number one thing he wears them for everyday is football field work training, where they have to run A LOT and when cleats aren't needed. He loves them and highly recommends for an everyday basic training shoe.
