Lighting for glass art

I have now 2 of these. One illuminates a 6-8" glass sculpture (Jonah fish); the other illuminates a smaller rectangular glass block etched with image of 3 pyramids. The electrical connection (if using plug-in rather than batteeries) sticks out on the back, so I can't push the stand all the way up against wall. Also the stand is very light causing a little concern as to whether it is too easy to knock off and break. Hopefully the glass items on the two stands add enough gravity to make the stand with item on it more stable than just the stand alone. Overall I am very satisfied.

Although it's marketed as a "display box with lights", I'm not using it for that purpose. Instead, I've been using it to hold and tilt an AV Fan Temperature Control Box at a certain angle so I can see it while I sit below the cabinet when I'm on my computer. The design of this product fits perfectly with my sound dampening computer cabinet which is ornate with black and gold colors. The product is sturdy and well-constructed, and it allows me to tilt the control box and see it perfectly. I love that this product's design is exactly what I could have hoped for. I have a certain color scheme/motif I am going with in my soundproof computer cabinet, which is ornate with black, gold, and rainbow. This product matches the design perfectly (minus the rainbow). As someone who has 10 AV fans and 3 blowers in their cabinet, I need to monitor the temperatures regularly, and this "display box with lights" allows me to tilt and see my AV fan temperature control box perfectly. It also matches everything else. While I can't speak much about its ability to showcase things as a display box with lights, I wanted to protect the mirror surface, so I put a sheet of cabinet liner I got from another product on top of it that happened to be the exact size of the surface. It does what it's supposed to do for me, and it does it well. I don't know if using the LCDs that are built into it really does anything for me, but I guess it's worth having for seeing it more lit up at night. Overall, it's a great addition to my setup and a perfect solution for holding and tilting my AV fan temperature control box. I'm so pleased with this purchase. It does exactly what I need it to do, and it does it beautifully.

This is the brightest unit I’ve seen.

I purchased this light base in black to light up my 3D Crystal Photo that I had made of my partner who has passed away. The base looks elegant but is made of very cheap plastic, not a real issue except I'm not sure it will hold up to the weight of the 3D block over time. The lights are so bright that it gives the appearance of a halo on one of the two figures in the photo. This was easily fixed by placing a thin non skip fabric between the base and the 3D crystal block. Depending on how much light you want on your art work this may or may not work for you. I have yet to decide if I will be returning the light base and replacing t with one made of wood and less intense lights. Which by the way are less expensive on Amazon.

Brighter when plugged in. Uses batteries quick.

Just love my light stand. Would highly recommend.

I recently purchased an etched crystal as a gift which did not turn out well at all. The etching was barely perceptible even with the standard LED light stands. I was crushed. I saw that this display stand had 16 LEDS and took a chance on it as a last resort, but didn’t have high hopes. Well, it was perfect. The brightness salvaged the crystal, and the display stand itself looks very good. It made for a decent present in the end and everybody is happy.
