Yes, no directions but I poured warm water down the drain and then poured a good amount of the beads and then added a little more water for it to react. I must say there are gases that result and it might be good to cover the drain with a cloth or hold a cloth over your nose. I had grime in both of my sink drains for about a year and could not get it removed...the smell of the drain made me check online after nothing from local stores worked. I was surprised how clean my drains got...I was impressed, will use again.
