I am highly impressed and was blown away by how well this book was written. It’s ever so helpful resources tucked away nicely inside, tells me that it isn’t a “one read” and “put down” kind of book. You’ll definitely be grabbing it back up to search for some great and helpful information that anyone, especially parents can always use. You may also want to just re- read since it has some lite, challenging and just “wow” moments that will captivate any reader. The author truly gave authentic everyday parenting stories that I believe any parent can relate to. A must read for any military family, for sure! The author also takes her readers on a journey into the daily lives of her family that can even make you re-evaluate how you handle your own family. I was left with some helpful tips and ideas on how simple it can be to make my Family thrive.

Growing Your Family is an excellent addition to my learning library! Whether you are new to the military life, or you have been a military family for quite sometime, this book offers powerful insight into how to navigate through the military world with your family. Reading this book not only filled me with reminders of how to find peace amongst the unpredictable and somewhat chaotic military family lifestyle, but also gave me new resources and allowed for practice and reflection by presenting new strategies. It’s great to see/read a piece of work that was clearly geared towards a specific audience, also have the ability to provide relevance in building relationships in all aspects of life, with or without military affiliation. Wow! I truly enjoyed reading this book. Growing Your Family by Pearl Gifty Alimo is an excellent resource. Mrs. Alimo has used her life as a military spouse and her expertise as a childcare professional to fully inform the reader how to overcome the challenge of raising a family and handle the transitions associated with the military lifestyle. Chapter nine: Teaching Your Children To Be Kind and To Stand Up For Themselves, is insightful and a must-read. Mrs. Alimo provides strategies such as focused listening for parents and assertive activities that help to build a child's self-esteem and self-love. I highly recommend Growing Your Family.

What a wonderful job the author did! I’m not a reader as a matter of fact, I don’t like to read. But somehow this author manages to keep me wanting to go back to her book every night. Her insights of things are powerful, practical, and very valuable to us as a military spouse. When reading this book life's challenges don't seem quite so bad. I won’t spoil it at all but I will highly recommend it. Thank you Pearl for writing the book and sharing your story and your faith journey to help others especially us!

This book did an amazing job in giving the reader moments in which to reflect on their family, the direction in which we want our family to grow!The author also provided great resources to enable you to gain a different perspective on family, marriage, and adapting to change. Love the real life stories the author shared in her journey! Very well written, and extremely relatable! Can't wait for her next book!

What I loved about Growing Your Family how another Pearl Gifty Alimo walked the reader from the conception of the book to the easy tools to use to help families with Special Needs and how honest she was about her first encounter with such unique little people. This book is awesome every military family should possess this wonderful book with practical tools to benefit the growing military families.

I found this book to be very thoughtful in the way we approach our mindset of parenting and marriage. The reflections at the end of each section helped it all sink in deeper. I find this book so useful for any family and it truly articulates the life of the military family. I have known Gifty to “walk the talk” and I truly value her for sharing her knowledge.

Love this book. Very educative about being a single mum and how to stay strong for the family when things get tough.
