It works
Identical to oem. Great price! Fit in place and plugged perfectly correcting problem. Vehicle (honda accord) 4cyl stalling while driving , then not able to start at all. This had also caused the dash lights, speedo, & tach to shut down or turn off as well when it was bad. In the beginning it happened intermittently. I thought it may have been the (ICM) ignition control module.Note. Use a metal center punch to loosen up the two bolts that hold the bracket on the steering wheel column makes it so easy to do this job.Nice easy taps counter clockwise. You can reuse the bolts with the center punch. Watch youtube also!

My 94 Honda Accord had starting problem in the past ...
My 94 Honda Accord had starting problem in the past few months. I had to turn the key several times to get the engine started. Most of the time, when the key was in the start position, I only heard a "click" sound and nothing else happened. The Honda was started easier in cold temperature but after driving for a while or at high temperature, multiple turns of the key was needed to start the engine.Several videos on how to replace the ignition switch in your Honda Accord can be found in youtube.com. The tricky part was to remove 2 breakoff bolt/screw bracketing the ignition switch to the steering wheel. The switch does not come with the bolt. However, you can found a normal replacement screw in many local hardware stores. it is a 8mm diameter, 125 screw pitch and 14mm long screw (M8, 14mm).Unfortunately, after replacing the switch, my car still does not start properly though it comes up with a louder click sound. Anyway, it is worthwhile to replace it and I believe the old switch is near the end of its life. Finally, I ended up fixing the starting issue of my Honda by replacing the old starter motor with an used one..

what a life saver...
my car would turn off as soon as i would let go of the key. the alarm people said it was the ignition switch and quoted me 225 to fix it. saying that the part was 90 dollars. and charging me 80 to put it on if i bring them the part. so i went to autozone and they had it for 50.99 and i had to special order it, which would take 2 days...it became a habit of checking with amazon before buying certain things, this item was one of them. when i noticed that amazon had .it for 20 dollars and of a great brand as Beck Arnley, i didnt hesitate to order it with next day shipping from Prime. and i fixed it myslef for a total of $25!.. I feel like going back to the alarm shop and autozone and tell them they're rip offs. the item installed flawlessly and worked at the first try. my car has been working for about a month now with no problems from the ignition. even my remote start catches on everytime.GREAT product, and Awesome price

Fixed stalling while driving/no start issue
Works perfectly so far in a 97 Accord. I only recently installed it so I can’t speak for its longevity, but it fixed the engine cutting out and/or the car will start but shut right down after letting go of the key.

Worked great!
This product worked as intended. My boyfriend owns a car lot and does mechanic work and was very pleased with the quality. Same as OEM quality.

Just like the factory part!
Perfect OEM replacement. Didn't ultimately correct the issue on my 1995 Accord, but it has eliminated one more source of common issues. Amazon should add the correct replacement bolt as an add on... As several others have stated, there are a couple of good Youtube videos that are very description on the procedure. A hex head M8 bolt from the local Lowe's was actually about an 1/8" too long, however, a few minutes with a file corrected that issue.... Enjoy!

Exceptional quality ignition switch and well presented in package.
Quick and easy to replace in my 5th gen Prelude. The Prelude would turn itself off randomly while driving and sometimes immediately after turning the key. Replacing the ignition switch with this one fixed all my problems. If your 97-01 Prelude experiences all these problems, it's most certainly the ignition switch:1) Ignition turns off at random, more frequently in hot weather.2) Engine starts normally but sometimes turns off once you let go of the key.3) Immobilizer dash light (Green key symbol) flashes several times after it happens.A few tips for installation:Disconnect - battery terminal first with a 10mm socket or wrench and put it off to the side.Make sure the ignition key is turned to the stop position.First remove the screws beneath the bottom steering column cover. After screws are out, lift off the top steering column cover. When removing the bottom cover, gently pull the side out to clear the round key slot. You will find the ignition switch behind the key barrel.Remove the big blue plug by pressing in the latch while pulling hard on the plug (it will be pretty tight). The ignition switch is held in place by two screws. One on the front side is easy to find, the other hides near the blue plug around back. The screw at the back is unreachable with a normal screwdriver or socket wrench so you will need an offset screwdriver or an Allen key shaped Phillips head.Once the 2 screws are out, the easy part is taking the old ignition switch off and putting the new on in its place.Put the 2 screws back (don't forget the tricky one at the back) and stick the blue plug back in all the way. When you put the bottom steering cover back make sure the rubber flap around the key slot isn't folded back.Tighten the screws in the steering covers just enough to close the gap between them. Don't overtighten them.Hook the battery terminal back up.You will feel the difference when you turn the key. It will feel like new and the ignition problems will never bother you again.Your radio station presets will be gone and your clock will be wrong but, you won't have to worry about random shut downs.

A perfect replacement for the ignition switch of a 1995 Honda Accord
The product seems well made. Only time will tell how long it will last. I used this part to replace the ignition switch on a 1995 Honda Accord. The last time I replaced the ignition switch was about 15 years ago. If I can get another 15 years out of this part, I will be impressed. The ignition switch seems to be a common weak point on this year of Honda Accord.
