Cosamo Non Permanent Hair Color, Dark Brown

Here’s the trick to this. Iam highly allergic to hair color. I use the black. Been using this product for 15 years. Truly amazing!! I wash my hair the day before and let air dry, do NOT use a Conditioner or any product after washing. Let air dry. Use on clean striped hair!!! The FOLLOWING day I put this in my dry clean hair, put it up with a jaw clip then put a plastic over and proceed with a few hours of chores, laundry, TV ECT. That’s why I do it on a weekend and about every 6/7 weeks. Trust me it last. I’am 57 and my gator looks amazing!!! I rinse it and put a deep conditioner on. Blow it out and love it. Conditions my hair and too be honest I’d probably use even if I wasn’t allergic to dye because it does not have the chemicals in it. So the the nay sayers out there give it a chance. Clean dry hair. Leave in for several hours then rinse. Yes, time consuming but it’s literally 2 hours out of 1 1/2 months. You will love it! Saved my hair.

I feel like I hit the jackpot! I am so allergic to hair color , pp and all of the derivatives. I left this on 40 minutes after reading reviews . My hair is beautiful . For me to say that is something. The color has shine, and my hair has never been so soft. I am in my 60”s and this is a gift. Thank you!

It washes off very quickly, lasts at most two or three hair wash. Will not buy again. would go back to the more expensive products.

Finally, a product that does not contain PPDs or PTDs. After years of torturing my hair and scalp with conventional ammonia, peroxide, PTD and PPD-laden chemical dyes, I found CoSaMo. I developed such severe allergies to both PPDs and PTDs that my ears would become highly inflamed and swollen, and the skin would break open and weep. My scalp developed scabs and lesions. My neck was always inflamed and had large red irritated bumps. Even so, I tended to stay away from rinses because they washed out so quickly and weren't all that effective at covering graying hair. My hair is probably 75% gray, but CoSaMo stays in until the next application.* By that time (3 weeks), the new pale roots are showing. * Here's a caveat: I add a small amount of Surya Henna to the Cosamo (go with the color you're using). Surya Henna brand does contain some PTD (not as bad as the PPD), but the impact of the small amount of PTD is negligible. The henna may help hold the color until the next application.

I am extremely allergic to phenylenediamine (PPD). It's an ingredient in most hair dyes. I had used Henna for years to cover gray, but had to use it every 2-3 weeks because it washes out so quickly. This product is PPD free. No allergic reaction 😃😃. It lasts at least 6 weeks. I have very long hair, but the 3 oz bottle works great. It even has left over dye that I use for touch ups. I highly recommend this product if you have an allergic reaction to PPD.

I used to use Clairol's Loving Care. This is NOT comparable. It washes out much faster than Loving Care. The color turns out much lighter than shown on the box. I'm almost 100% gray, highly resistant, and this dark brown by CoSaMo makes my hair more of a light golden brown. Still, I will continue to use this product because it is the only one I feel comfortable with since it contains far fewer ingredients than other haircolors.

I finally realized I had to leave the dye on my hair for an hour+. Nice color. No shine. But the great part is NO allergic reaction! PPD turns my scalp into a blanket of icky pustules and makes my whole face swell up like a balloon. This lasts for a couple of months. Good stuff.

The overall colour is nice but it doesn't cover grey hair very well . It is the best of what is available for paraben free colours.
