Inateck M.2 NVMe Hard Drive Enclosure with 10Gbps Transmission, M.2 SATA and NVMe SSD Supported (2242, 2260, 2280) with USB A to C and USB C to C Cable, Tool-Free, FE2025

For the price this is an awesome little device to read NVMe SSDs and is backwards compatible with M.2. It is also built well with the aluminum casing.The only advice is do say it to hit advertised speeds, use the cables they include. I used some USB C cables I already own and they did not operate the NVMe as fast, maybe different cable versions or something.But so far so good, no issues. Heat is a factor with NVMe regardless.

I have had the enclosure for a couple of weeks with no problems.I used without the thermal pad and the shell was very warm.The drive I have is small so I cut the thermal pad in half and applied two layers to the drive so the pad touches the drive and the aluminum shell. Now during use the shell does not feel warm at all. I also removed the tray after use and nothing inside was warm.I have another drive and would like to get more of the same thermal pads.The drive is hard to remove from the tray. I scrapped some plastic off of the tab that holds the drive and that made it much easier to insert and remove the drive.

booting and running Windows 11 Xtreme LiteOS Edition Build 22000.51 x64 July 2021. with no issues. Great performance and stays cool. I had numerous corporate machines not being used with Windows 10 Pro license. The LiteOS activated with the bios license on defunked old machine.It is a beautiful install and I use it more than regular machine. Still have room on the 500gb drive for a bootable Linux distro.

Removing the drive was a little tricky. My fingernails weren't strong enough to release the clip, but a small pry tool was able to easily release the clip.

It’s honestly a wonderful product. It could have been a little smaller, but I’m sure the extra space helps heat dissipation. Very easy to use. Install is plain and simple. Very thick aluminum case.

I needed a way to access some bare M.2 SSDs. For the most part I have NVMe, but a few are SATA. I'd gotten a couple other enclosure that only supported NVMe which worked fine, but my latest one had some weird issues when closing the case. This one, on the other hand is perfect. While it's a bit thicker, 90% of the time I probably won't even have the outer shell installed.Side note - If you're using it like I am and plan to swap between drives frequently, don't bother latching them down! Even sticking up at a 45° angle, the drives can be accessed without any issue.

My Laptop monitor broke off the laptop and i was dead in the water. Not everything was backed, up not to mention all my bookmarks and installed applications. i bought this, popped the drive off my old laptop, snapped it into place, plugged it into my other laptop, open explorer and BANG there it was as another drive to access! i was ready to spend hours messing around to recognize, but i did nothing other than plug it in and it worked. and now i have a 250GD External SSD drive to boot!JB

It's a solid feeling enclosure. Granted, I've only used it for cloning NVMe drives and other relatively short term tasks. I don't see why this couldn't be a good long term enclosure if you really need to keep an NVMe drive in a USB adapter.

Simple, robust - has worked perfectly for a couple of years.It's not mentioned in the description, but this will also accommodate the M.2 2230 form factor drives.Just used it to clone/upgrade Surface 9 Pro OS. The enclosure had zero issues witha PCIe gen 4 drive. Didn't do a speed test, but it seemed pretty quick.

Surpris de la qualité du produit, la cage est qualitative et parfaitement usinée, le support plastique accueillant le SSD semble solide et durable, les deux câbles fournis Usb vers type C / Type C vers Type C sont un peu court mais d'excellente qualité, un pad thermique et une plaque supplementaire de dissipation sont fournis, et enfin les débits sont très bon, 365M octet / secondes respectent parfaitement les performances du SSD qui auparavant était dans mon pc, les débits sont identiques. Bravo !

Ich kann meine M.2 SSD einfach und schnell in das Gehäuse einsetzen, ohne zusätzliches Werkzeug verwenden zu müssen. Das spart Zeit und erleichtert den Installationsprozess erheblich. M.2-SATA- und NVMe-SSDs können eingebaut werden. Zu den unterstützten Standards gehören 2242, 2260 und 2280 (für Standard 2280 wird kein Fixierer benötigt, da ein kleiner Kunststoff Fixierer verbaut ist. Für kleinere SSDs sind zwei beigelgt).Die Temperatur der SSD ist auch im Rahmen dank des mitgelieferten Wärmeleitpads. Meine SSD hat während des Kopierens 62°C angezeigt, was völlig im Rahmen ist.Zudem arbeitet im Inateck FE2025 ein RTL9210B-Chipset.Ein weiterer Vorteil des Inateck FE2025 ist das bereits im Gehäuse verbaute Wärmeleitpad. Es überzeugt durch hochwertige Verarbeitung, werkzeuglose Montage, integriertes Wärmeleitpad und hohe Übertragungsgeschwindigkeiten. Der einzige kleine Nachteil ist der Verschluss aus Plastik. Trotzdem kann ich das Gehäuse uneingeschränkt empfehlen.Ich würde mich freuen, wenn ihr meine Bewertung als "Nützlich" markiert. Danke!
