Bought these as our past containers haven't kept meals very warm. We followed the suggestion to fill the container with hot/boiled water for a few minutes to get the container warm, then remove the water, and add your food. These containers have exceeded my expectations! Love having warm food for lunch boxes!!!

We have the 8 oz container but bought this one for variety. It is much better for packing pasta and other non-liquid hot foods. It will keep food hot/warm for several hours if heated properly. I once opened the container after eight hours and the contents were still very warm.

My daughter loves this thermos! It keeps her lunch warm for the five hours between leaving for school and lunchtime. We bought this to replace a Thermos brand food jar that had the worst odor from the plastic inside the lid. This food jar doesn't have any plastic that touches the food and the gasket is easy to remove and clean.

I bought this for my son's lunch. He said it keeps it warm (not hot) 3-4 hours later. I "preheat" the thermos with boiling water before I add a piping hot lunch. It serves the purpose and allows me to offer some variety in lunches instead of cold lunches all the time, and I like the convenience of being able to toss it in the dishwasher. One thing I have found is that if you don't fill the thermos all the way, the food does not hold the temperature as well. I have purchased a few of these in different sizes (not all the same brand) so I can use the best size for the meal. I took away a star because it does not stay "hot" for as long as the manufacturer claims. Otherwise, it is a great thermos.

I left food in the canister overnight and it has been nearly impossible to the smell out of the canister cap. Since the canister itself is metal, it doesn't trap smells, but the cap certainly does. Just be very aware of that and don't leave food in there overnight.Otherwise, this has been fantastic to keep drinks and foods warm during the day.

I bought this 8-ounce thermos after purchasing the 16-ounce LunchBots thermos. I discovered the 16-ounce was far too much food for my first grader, but this 8-ounce size is perfect! Keeps food hot all morning and maybe longer, but we haven't tested it past four hours. It is recommended that you put near boiling water in it for a few minutes before packing it with food - a very important step to keeping food hot! When washing it I remove the silicone seal on the lid and scrub it well. So far the lid hasn't become stuck after filling it with hot food, but I also do not tighten it as far as it probably could go. I tighten it just to where it doesn't leak. We have had it for a month or so and it looks brand new. I highly recommend it.

This is by far my favorite from the entire Lunchbots product line. I literally use this every day for packing my son's lunch to daycare and keeping it warm (or cold) from morning until lunch. I've used this to send soups to school (stays warm for over 5 hours!), chicken nuggets, meatballs, mac 'n cheese, etc. I've also used it to send yogurt to school (stayed cold for ~7 hours!). It's super easy for my 2 year old son to grasp and even easier for me to clean.

This thermal container works very well. It's leak-proof, and it keeps the food HOT until lunch. It also fits inside the LunchBots bento sleeve carrying case with no problem. I've been very pleased with this purchase.

I bought this thermos for my daughter's lunches over a year ago, and it held up great. We use it daily on schooldays - I heat up food in the morning around 8, and my daughter says it's still hot when she eats her lunch at 12. Before I put the food in, I usually fill the thermos with boiling water and keep water in for about a minute to warm up the thermos - I think it helps to keep the food warm.It's easy to wash, the rubber rim is easy to remove and put back on when I handwash it. If I am putting it in a dishwasher, I put the lid with the rim, and it's been fine.The reason I bought this container in the first place is that it's fully metal inside, so hot food does not touch any plastic. Before this thermos, I had Klean Kanteen but it was getting old (the rubber rim wore off and it was not holding heat well after a few years), so when I was looking to replace it with the same model, it turned out that they changed the inside surface of the lid from metal to plastic. So I bought this thermos instead, and it's been excellent!

I use this every day for the cream for my tea. It keeps my cream cool throughout the workday. I do wish there was a bump in the lip to help with pouring, but this is a minor inconvenience. The best feature is that this thermos is dishwasher safe!

Seems expensive but works very well to keep food hot / cold. I am satisfied with the performance.

This is an awesome food container. The food remained hot for hours. And it’s nice there was no plastic touching the hot food.
