Lysulin!!! Love the Vanilla Shake…Satisfying and controls my A1C!!!
I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes about 20 years ago. Over time I have lost weight and got my A1C down, using the medication prescribed by my doctor. However I was unable to get my A1C under 6.5. I found Lysulin and my A1C is now 5.8…I’m ecstatic!!! I have a shake for lunch every day, I’ve lost weight and my blood sugar is stable all day. My favorite way to make it is in my blender. I use non fat milk, coffee ice cubes (my ice cube trays are filled with coffee instead of water), a scoop of Creamy Vanilla Lysulin, and I use sugar free sweetener since I like things very sweet. It blends nicely…if it’s too thick I add a little water. I love being creative and encourage everyone to try it…and make it the way you like…don’t be afraid to experiment. If you’re diabetic like I am, make sure you are careful with your ingredients…and enjoy your delicious shake!!!

Taste is Good
I've only been drinking the shakes for a week and the taste is good, but nothing spectacular. As for the effectiveness is concerned, I haven't been taking it long enough to know.

Great results in only 8 weeks!
I have tried numerous weight-loss programs and supplements with little to no results. I've been using Lysulin Weight Loss Shake for 2 months now and so far I've dropped 16 lbs!... and it tastes good. The real bonus is that my A1c has dropped as well. I'm thrilled with the results I'm seeing in a relatively short time. THANK YOU!

Works but Not My Favorite Taste
I was very excited to try this product. It looked very promising, for weight loss and blood sugar management. I immediately opened the package and tested the scent of the product. It smelled clearly of vanilla, although slightly... odd? Maybe a little artificial. It wasn't bad by any means, just not what I expected. This product *is* both artificially and naturally flavored, I just expected the natural scent/flavoring to be a bit stronger here.I was surprised to learn that this is mixed with water as opposed to milk. For good measure and testing of the flavor of the product, I used unsweetened almond milk, water, and 2% cow milk. The water mix (the recommended recipe) was fine. Tasted ok, a little old melted white chocolate. I can stand the flavor, but it's not optimal. The 2% milk tasted better, somehow the milk lifted up the the flavor and made it taste less artificial. I preferred the extra benefits of the milk in addition to the flavor. Now, to the my definite favorite flavor option. The almond tasted delicious. It tasted like a real shake, with a much better consistency then the other options I've tried. It didn't feel like I was drinking a diet weight loss shake at all, more like a shake that I'd order from a restaurant (now please remember this is a weight loss shake, so the comparison to a restaurant is based on that understanding). This is my favorite way to blend this powder and tastes the best, for sure. The weight loss part, in addition to exercise and diet, worked fairly well for me. I tested this for a good 11 days, as a breakfast and lunch meal. One shake in the morning and a regular dinner at night. This seemed to keep my cravings for sugary products down, filled me up fairly well, and becomes a very easy routine after two days. I did notice I still craved savory foods, but I felt fuller so the cravings weren't overwhelming. I do think this helps with the weight loss factor. I did have energy and didn't notice any crash at all like when drinking coffee (or any caffeine).Overall, I would recommend this product with the understanding that this tastes more artificial than I expected, and that the unsweetened almond milk will take this shake to another level of flavor that still keeps this shake healthy (and may even add more benefits to the product). It does work, but you do need proper diet and exercise to make this product worth the price.

vanilla has a slight tart fruit like taste, best loaded with ice. 130 calories per serving/meal
$1.83 per serving isn't terrible but I can do better. There are 30 servings, and each serving is just 130 calories. I am not sure what it has to offer over other meal replacement drinks, or even some protein drinks. It has a good amount of protein and fiber per scoop, as well as an assortment of vitamins and minerals, as well as sweeteners that aren't supposed to trigger a spike in blood sugar. The "propriety blend" they call Lysulin is comprised of L-lysine, Vitamin C, and Zinc. Lysulin "works like a glucose sponge to remove glucose from the body before it becomes a problem". If you dont want the Lysulin as a meal replacement powder, it can be purcased separately as a powder, tablet, or chewable. This product has added benefit of being a meal replacement if trying to shed a few pounds (or in my case, save a few calories by drinking this before my main meal--helps fill me up so I eat less). To prepare, the direction say to use 1 scoop and add to 8 ounces of water. There is your meal. 130 calories. The taste? Is odd. It isnt bad, and I find it palatable and almost pleasant, but it doesnt quite have a vanilla taste. It reminds me more of a light berry taste. I think because there is a slight tartness. I have made it with water and find that I need to add loads of ice to make it taste best. I have made it with unsweetened non dairy milk (adds 25-40 cals), and that tastes better. SO I guess this can be doctored up a bit to suit taste preference. But if you are absolutely using this with diabetes in mind, then be very careful with what you add to this. Regular milk is loaded with glucose spiking carbohydrates (over time it can increase resistance). Unsweetened non dairy milk such as almond milk is fine. When I do load it with ice and make it with non dairy milk, then it is rather nice. I do not use this as a full meal replacement, but i have been having it just prior to sitting down to dinner. I tend to fast, and rarely eat breakfast. Sometimes I have lunch, and when I do it is either a light lunch or I have a big ole smoothie. I just dont have an appetite for most of the day, so it is normal for me to not eat. SO I suppose I could use this as part of my smoothie, but I really prefer it as a "pre dinner supplement" to help fill me up before diving into dinner. THAT HELPS. I was surprised and encourage by this. Not sure which component helped the most (likely fiber and protein, and then the volume of fluid), but I had made a light dinner and was feeling absolutely stuffed. so depending on what I am having for dinner, the pre loaded 130 calories may help reduce overall calories simply because I ate less at dinner.BTW, I am not diabetic, but i have been labeled pre-diabetic. My A1C was borderline once, and while I have had totally normal readings that label is still on record. I figure it is something to keep an eye on anyway, and I am always looking for ways to help keep those numbers in the normal range. If this helps on some level then it may be worth keeping this in hand. I wish it had a better taste and was priced better (I dont rate on price, but this is kinda pricy for me for 30 servings at just 130 cals each, where as I can get other meal replacement powders and each serving is 240-280 calories, but i can easily use half and get 2x as many servings). I like that it is created with diabetics (and pre diabetics) in mind because that is ultimately how we should be eating to help keep our glucose in check.Overall, 3.5 stars. Pushed to 4 since we cant do half ratings. I like it better than 3 because it is helping me.
