Bought this to make a cross for my sister-in-law for Christmas. Love the pattern in the wood!

3 of the 5 blanks had very slight grain pattern showing and the only way to know if was olive wood was that was what I ordered. 2 were very good!

Had several knots in the center of the blank making it difficult to get a good center match of the grain

Not great. Supposedly "free of defects and cracks". I placed two orders. Out of 10 blanks, 3 were cracked, 2 had a slight warp/bend, 1 was completely blank with no dark grain, and 1 with dark grain down one side that would be carved away as it's turned. Only 3 were perfect, straight, relatively square, with full length dark grain. I returned one order and kept the one with two cracked pieces because the grain was still really nice. I'll just try to stabilize the cracked pieces so I can get at least 3-4 pens out of the 5 blanks.

Olive wood is so pretty. Gonna find some decorative way to use these. Put some sealer on it, and the colors will really come out in it!

Purchased an olive wood Nativity set in Jerusalem over 20 years ago. The stable was recently damaged and needed some supports added. Well, using regular wood to fix it seemed wrong. But these olive wood planks worked great!
