VangoAether 600XL Tent RRP £615

Upgraded from a Vango Icarus 600 to this new 2021 Vango Aether tent. On looking at it I the website looked the part. Having now used it for the first time I can give some feedback.Positive- great extra space now compared to the previous tent. Also like the new darkened bedrooms. Front porch area good to keep chairs or any cooking equipment as well as being able to sit in if there was a bit of rain.Negatives- the major downfall with this tent is both the door openings. My previous Vango tent zipped all the way closed, but this new one only zips about 3/4 closed, leaving the gaps at the bottom. As you could imagine camping in Scotland this just leaves it open & a free for all for the midges to pile in. Worse in the mornings as you can imagine. Did try to tape up the gap but didn’t make any difference. Tried not to make too much of a fuss about it but did make it unpleasant at times. Didn’t look like on the website but had I know, I wouldn’t have bought it.Another minor issue was the lack of vents on the bedroom area. Use to like leaving these open so you could see the kids but these ones don’t have them.Overall pretty disappointed having previously had my last Vango tent now for about 10 years.
