A brilliant small, light travel cot.
We really love our Koo-di travel cot. I was somewhat put off by the one star reviews but I don't really know what they're complaining about. The Koo-di packs up really small and is ideal for travelling light. If you were to travel on a train, plane or going camping and had limited space this is ideal. I can't emphasise this benefit enough. Even when you're not restricted on space having something small and light is great because we all know how much stuff comes with going anywhere with a baby. As all travel cots are only suitable up to 18 months (as far as I can tell) I can't see a reason for buying a hulking great heavy thing when this does the job magnificently. The mattress is perfectly sufficient. It's not the softest, most padded thing in the world, but our daughter has never had a problem sleeping anywhere on it. Put a nice fleece blanket over the top if you want it to be softer. The Velcro tabs are useful to fix it to something if you have a convenient item but not essential. Our daughter did tip it onto its side on one occasion, but she didn't seem bothered by the experience. I'd suggest having it positioned between things so tipping over is unlikely where possible. The blackout blind is next to useless it must be said. The light fabric lets the light in anyway. Don't buy it for that reason. The zips on the side work well, but they can be noisy and we have woken our daughter after putting her down by doing up the zips. a bit of care (doing it slowly and gripping the zip toggle on the inside as well as the outside makes it quieter).I love how easy it is to put up and pack away. I can now put this together in less than a minute. At least one or two of the reviews complain about needing the instructions every time you put it up because of the confusing poles. This is nonsense. The poles completely fill their respective slots so if it's too long or too short it's in the wrong one. I think there are 7 in total (I'm not at home with the Koo-di as I type, there may be only 5) that get shorter in pairs and one that goes at the very top on it's own. The ones in the base are the longest and they get shorter as you move up to the shortest one at the peak of the cot. Simple. We've been all over with our cot now. It's been to B&Bs, hotels, parents houses, camping and even used at home when she has soiled her cot in night. As a tip for camping we put a sleeping bag under the cot as it sits on the floor and the cold can rise in a tent. Our daughter slept soundly and never got cold even on the chilly nights.

Worth it. Get it if you’re travelling often.
This. Is. Genius. Bought because I moved to Europe and was dreading having to cart around our pack and play/travel cot but still needed something to “contain” my 11 month old. This packs up small, is SO light and comes with its own carry case and is the PERFECT solution. It will easily fit in a small-ish suitcase or probably even a backpack. The “mattress” is not great but I don’t expect something great AND light. It’s more of a foldable thin pad. I do wish it came with a waterproof sheet or something but the company obviously wants you to buy their inflatable mattress that comes with a sheet. I will not buying the mattress after reading reviews and will probably just put a few blankets or towels underneath the entire pod (not in the pod itself). I may try wrapping a regular fitted cot sheet twice over the supplied mattress pad but the pad has Velcro on the bottom so it won’t be lifted up as easily by baby and if you put a sheet over that then it defeats the purpose of that bottom Velcro. As my 11 month old is on the move, I won’t be putting this on top of a bed when we travel. It does come with Velcro tabs in the four corners so if you can secure all 4 corners then maybe I’d put it in the centre of a bed but how on earth would you secure it? So my plan is to put it on blankets, on the floor, against a wall on one side and then finding something to prop against the other side too. Worth the effort for the ease of travel. My girl is 11 months and has room to grow. It’s supposedly good until 18 months. We’ll see. I think she could use it past that so long as you can somehow teach her that she just needs to sleep haha

Compact and easy to use. Not ideal if your wee one like it dark.
Folds down very compact. Good for short trips away. The top lets light in though so if you need a dark place for baby you'll need to get black out blinds as well. Mattress could be thicker.
