Tomy Discovery Forget Me Not Photo Album

My 2 year old son absolutely loves his Tomy Photo Album! I can tell it's really helping him remember his family members who don't live close to us. I just wish I could find another one for my new niece/nephew that's due in September!

I bought this to send to my grandson, it looked like a great idea so he could hear our voices and see our faces, because we live so far away. The musical tones that play when you turn the pages is too loud, it would startle most babies and be too annoying for Mom and Dad. The recording of the voices is very poor quality, and it degraded after it was turned off overnight - the next morning it sounded like a tape player with a dying battery (the battery was fine, we tried putting a new one in even though we had put a new one in the night before when we recorded our voices). Installing the battery was puzzling and physically challenging. Removing the clear plastic to insert the photos was very puzzling, we never did figure out the mystery latch hook -had to use tweezers.So we sent it to our grandson with the battery removed, our son says Peter likes it, it is easy for him to turn the pages - easier than his board books, and they are using the book to teach them who his grandparents are and his cousins, all of whom live far away. It's a good toy/learning tool that doesn't need the audio.

Partially remove small screw on body near bottom to install 2 AAA batteries as indicated. Should get a little musical response when you slide battery compartment back in and tighten screw.Audio playback good, not great. Recording time appears to be 5-10 seconds per page and gray button/light on top corner of page blinks when recording time is almost over. To record, hold down small orange button on body and gray button on side where you want to record. Speak loudly and quickly. Wish I could record my morning song for our granddaughter but record time too short.Sound is a little loud when you open book and turn pages but it did not phase our one year old granddaughter. She is fascinated with it. Can't wait to get other photos and recordings into it.

E' stato regalato a mio figlio a natale e lo trovo una bellissima idea: un album di fotografie in grado di lasciare al bimbo anche dei messaggi affettuosi da parte degli affetti piu' cari. Il bambino e' molto incuriosito dalla forma, dalle foto e anche dalla scoperta dei suoni. Ho rubato quindi l'idea e' ne ho fatto anche io un regalo carino per figli di amici.

I bought this as all my family live miles away and we have friends over seas, so I wanted a way of my daughter to be able to hear their voices without having to ring them or Skype them!After getting over the initial embarrassment of recording a message everyone from 5 year old cousin to 75 year old granddad recorded a cute message.Her face lights up whenever she opens it, I am so pleased I bought it.The only negative I have is that the 2 buttons needed to record a new message are very easily accessible, she now presses them both individually, but they have to be pressed simultaneously which she can't do just yet (at 20 months) but I know that day will come and the message will be gone :-(Other than that I have bought my friend one as her family live away and I would recommend it to anyone that is in a similar situation, fantastic idea and product!

Das Buch ist der Hammer! Unsere kleine Maus spielt zu gerne mit dem Buch, weil sie a) vertraute Personen sehen kann und b) sie de Stimme dazu auch noch hört!Dieses Buch ist eine geniale Erfindung. Da hat einer mal richtig gute Arbeit geleistet :-)Auch als Geschenk zum ersten Geburtstag oder auch früher....Alle, die das Buch gesehen haben, waren begeistert und 2 haben es prompt zum verschenken bestellt.Ist ja auch originell und jeden Cent wert!

Notre fille a reçu cet album photo en cadeau pour son premier Noël et c'est très certainement l'une des plus belles choses qu'elle ait pu recevoir ! Le concept est super pour que bébé se familiarise avec les visages et les voix des autres membres de la famille.Nous avons consacré chaque page à un membre de la famille qui a pu enregistrer lui-même un message à l'attention de notre fille. Ce cadeau est encore plus appréciable lorsque la famille est éloignée et que l'enfant ne peut pas la voir très souvent : ainsi il peut regarder les photos tout en écoutant les voix correspondantes "Coucou, c'est mamie ! Je te fais de gros bisous !"Il faut l'utiliser pour ce qu'il est et non pas comme un jouet : c'est un album photo, pas un joujou ! Les gens qui lui reprochent son manque de robustesse n'ont rien compris à son usage. Il faut s'en servir comme d'un véritable album photo, à savoir le feuilleter tranquillement avec son enfant. La différence est que l'on peut enregistrer les voix, qu'il est ludique et que l'enfant (même tout petit) peut facilement saisir les pages et les tourner avec ses petites mimines sans l'abîmer. Notre fille adore tripoter les intercalaires en papier bruissant ! Il est très solide mais à condition d'en prendre soin comme d'un véritable livre.(Nous avons lu un commentaire disant que cet album était inutile pour un enfant sans ""handicap", et qu'il suffisait de prendre un album photo normal et de commenter les photos à haute voix ... Heu oui, mais ici le principe est de pouvoir enregistrer des messages de la part des personnes concernées, c'est quand même mieux !)Bref,nous n'avons aucune déception concernant cet album et nous le recommandons vivement à tous les parents ! Vous passerez de bons moments avec votre enfant et vos proches seront ravis de lui laisser des messages :)

Il pacco è arrivato in meno di 2 giorni, ben imballato e in confezione integra. Molto utile per i bambini 6+ perchè possono associare il volto alla voce, io l'avevo già acquistato 2 anni fa per mio figlio, ora è fuori produzione, peccato, ma l'ho trovato qui e l'ho acquistato per mio nipote.
