APP no longer supported, can't change temp/color/brightness of light
Lights worked as intended. At times they'd lose connection and could be hard to re-pair to the wifi/app.As of 6/18/25 I have been unable to use my lights via my phone or echo. Unable to log in to app, Unable to make a new account, Unable to Reset Password."<Operation Failed, please try again>"Upon searching Sengled on google <Sengled app down> was the first dropdown. Leading me to a Reddit with 850upvotes and 1.8k comments at the time of this review. No statement has been made from the company, No email, Offical site still up selling product, Amazon sales still up.CHOOSE ANOTHER LIGHT!

No technical support and nine lightbulb stopped working at once
I have had these lightbulbs for a couple of years and there are some good things about them. Great lighting, adjustment and settings, etc.Today, however, every lightbulb stopped working. You can only email technical support and I have read it and take 30 days for them to get back to you. There is a website that gives you a phone number. Do not trust it it sends you to a I fallen and I can’t get up button scam.Someone will start talking 90 miles an hour about why everyone needs an alarm in case they fall and can’t get up and will not speak to you. They just go off a script so either rude evil humans or AI either way don’t bother. This is the worst product support I have ever come across in my entire life. I cannot stress enough how much I regret buying these white lightbulbs. They are great if they are working well, but they are poor quality and poor energy efficiency when it’s not. It is not easy to install in an attempt to resolve the issue I uninstalled and reinstall the app. Big mistake! Now it keeps asking me for a login that I have never had and will not accept my username and password. Email set up and will not let me create a new one.Again, they look great when they’re working right. When they are not, they are living hell. If the power goes out in the middle of the night, all of your lights will be at 100% brightness.I wish I had never trusted this company with my smart lighting needs, and you should not either.Don’t throw your money away on a product that will leave you screaming and wanting to cry with frustration at 4 AM because you have to turn all the lights off by hand.I know this may not be a big deal to you, but with my disability it is.

ALL 4 BULBS STOPPED WORKING AFTER 1 YEAR
UPDATE:apparently, the company’s server went down and that’s why I was unable to manage my lights through the app. The app is back up and working. From what I have read if my lightbulbs were compatible with a zigbee hub, I would not have had this issue. These lights are not compatible with the zigbee hubJune 2025:. These were great for a year then they stopped connecting to the app and the only way to turn the bulb on is manually. This gives you basic light but you cannot control the color or brightness of the bulb. I have 4 bulbs, 1 in an office lamp, 2 in bedroom lamps, and 1 in a hallway light fixture. I did everything that they suggest for troubleshooting but they still don't work. I deleted the app and reinstalled it and now I can't log in or get access to the app at all. I emailed the company several times but they never responded.

Good but a little frustrating
3 years later: Well, we had a good run with these bulbs. The bulbs themselves still work but the app has failed. I tried to reconnect the bulbs, no. I looked for an app update, no. I tried to uninstall/reinstall, no. Messages to customer service go unanswered. From online research, it's easy to see a lot of people are having this issue. I don't know if Sengled is working on fixing the app or if it'll ever work again. I'm hoping for the best but an resigned to the fact that my smart bulbs are now really expensive dumb bulbs. For the most part, I really love these bulbs. They're easy to connect to and with well with Google Home. You can manage the brightness and colors, and, honestly, I love messing with my son by changing the color of his bulb from the other side of the house. The "MOOoommm" that emanates from him is funny as heck! The only frustration is when the power goes out, with a storm, for example. It really sucks if it's the middle of the night because when the power comes back on, every light that has one of these bulbs comes on. Then, you have to go through the process of reconnecting them individually. It's a real pain at 3am. Thankfully, the lights don't go out much. I would recommend the bulbs, but when the power goes out, walk around and physically turn the lights connected to these bulbs off manually so they don't all come back on at the same time when the power is restored.

Buy a different brand
Sengled does not work with Alexa! They did at one point (and they were great) but they have stopped being compatible. Amazon even posted a notice that basically said they didn’t know what was going on with Sengled. Save yourself the money and headache and get another brand.

Lightbulbs Easy to Pair with Network, Light schedule, and Alexa controls
Have purchased Sengled Light bulbs many times since my first purchase of these. They are super easy to connect to your 2.5GHZ network and the app makes setting up routines when you are away easy. Like that you can set the level of brightness and the hue of the light color. They are cool for the holidays since they have holiday color settings to fade for Christmas, Halloween, etc. if you want to use them on your porch lights. I have found that with everyday use on the porch light schedule the bulbs last about 2.5 years give or take a little. I also have found that they work great with "Alexa" if you want to be able to turn them on and off on command. The app also makes it possible for you to remotely turn them on which allows you to turn on lights at foyer when getting home after daylight or in hallway and so forth. Another nice feature is they can be set to 50% brightness, which saves on utility bill. -- Definitely will continue to buy these as they are very practical and easy to use.
