This transformer is GREAT!
This transformer is GREAT! After going through TWO Malibu digital transformers that were MAJOR headaches to set, did not work correctly (Especially the 'automatic' on/off photo eye) and any power interruption created the need to go through the torture of resetting... The Intermatic is an absolute JOY... Who would ever think a LVL timer could create any emotional reaction? Well, the Malibu created more than a little hostility in my life. Thankfully, that is behind me... this one takes seconds, yes, seconds to set... turn the dial to the current time...put in two plastic pins (one for on, one for off) and DONE!!! ... you can also put in four pins if you want two on-off times. WORKS PERFECTLY!!

Great transformer and seller!
The transformer works with no problems. It is exactly like the one I replaced. Because of it's age or wattage rating, it was impossible to find in stores. The price on Amazon.com is much less than other websites, even Ebay, plus I received free shipping! A similar wattage transformer in a retail store would have easily cost three times more. I am so glad I found this on Amazon. This seller is great! The transaction went very smoothly and I received it quickly. I highly recommend this seller for whatever he has to seller. You can order with confindence! Thank you

The most dependable power packs for low voltage landscape lighting
Intermatic, Inc. has produced these dependable power packs for many years and they are still the #1 'Tried and True' power packs for low voltage landscape lighting. They are easily identifiable by the white timer dial on the face. They are simple to set and they operate off of time-of-day rather than dusk-to-dawn. Intermatic manufactured these power packs with the Malibu brand name on them until circa 2010. Today, Intermatic still produces the same power packs, but with the Intermatic name on them and they still have the same great 5-year warranty.Don't be fooled by the Malibu name on power packs that have a built-in photo sensor, as these are the 'NEW' power packs made for Malibu in Taiwan and they only have a 1 year warranty. You will get what you pay for.

Works great
I had one before that lasted 8 years. This is simple to use with no photo cell. I tried the model with a photo cell and it kept turning the lights on and off and no matter how I tried nothing helped that issue. Do not buy a photo cell model. This works good and has a dual on off setting. I only use one and its easy to use. I have had no issues. It runs quiet and is a good value for the money.

Received Ordered Transformer without correct parts("off clips" for clock timer) were missing. I bought it from you!
This product would have been fine but was sent with two clips that turn the clock timer on and none that turn it off. Now the transformer and lights stay on continuously. I was on vacation when this showed up and it took another two months getting around to finding someone to put it on. Now my lights stay on continuously. All I need is the small plastic clip that turns the lights off on the clock cycle please. Instead of being told I can not return it. I do not want to return it, but it should have shown up functional in the first place. Even if it take a little bit of time to get it installed.Any help would be appreciate(1 small tiny black clock "off clip" please, that was supposed to come with the transformer).Just as you see in red on the picture except they would probably be black or the correct size for also turning the lights off. The transformer is getting hot.

Works, kinda...
The timer has a very cheap lid mechanism that is molded plastic and relies on two plastic nubs with receiver indentations on the lid. It arrived with one broken. Simply fixed by a small drill bit and a paper clip for a hinge. Not a big deal, but it turned out to be a bad omen. The timer is extremely easy to set and seemed to work for a week or so. Then it started tripping the GFCI once every few days - on an outlet that has never tripped using yard equipment, etc. Could be the GFCI outlet. Could be an issue with the low voltage line. But, quite frankly, neither has ever been an issue and the line is new with all lights working fine (at about half the max wattage rating of the transformer) when the unit worked. And, the GFCI only tripped when the timer activated - not while in use or when cycling off. I am going to try a different unit. The "L" home improvement store sells a similarly priced unit, same wattage, that has a sealed metal case and seems to be a bit more durable based on feel and materials. Time will tell if the "weight" test pans out.It is a rare situation where Amazon does not have the best product for the best price. But, this is just one of those purchases that would have benefitted from a side by side comparison. Thanks again, Amazon, for being the best retailer with simple and accommodating customer service. The return process was very easy. UPS arrived the following business day and the return was on its way.

fixed the problem
works as described- purchased to replace original power supply that came with a Lowe's Portfolio landscape set that failed after only a few months. this unit has a "hard wired" connection (insert wires and screw down) and we were able to cut the quick connect end off the old unit and use it again. it's not digital, uses a mechanical timer, but we have several inside ones like it that are over 5 years old.

Works well
My handy man installed this product to replace one that was over 10 years old. The new Intermatic works well and I hope it lasts as long as the one it replaced. I particularly like the two on/off controls that allow one to light the outdoor lights for x number of hours, turn off the lights and then turn them on again for a few more hours. I found the two sets of on/off controls to enhance energy conservation.
