Once they learned how to throw it. It also depends on how tall the child is. It could possibly hit the ground

Q: Does this fox tail float?

Tested it in the kitchen sink - ABSOLUTELY !!! Found our old Foxtail while cleaning out the attic from our precious 'Bailey' who we had almost 30 years ago - it had a leather head. Haven't tested that one, but this toy definitely floats. What a Wonderful, Wonderful toy for our new hound !!! Old one needs a little stitching, but that will be done !!!
