What me worry? No, I test and I test. GOOOOD
I purchased this item factory refurbished from CPO outlets, via Amazon. So, of course I was going to test it!I initially did a 100' test from both ends, making marks on both ends from each location. It's accuracy was better than acceptable! Less than 1/16" variance.I later put it at the 50 ft Middle Point and shot it to both ends, then turned it off and rotated it 180° and shot it again. Again very good results. 1/16" and less than 1/16".Then I set it to 1% slope with the x-axis pointing to my marking locations and marked them, then turned it 90° to shoot the y-axis at the same 1% slope. Both at 1/16" or better frok level marks at a difference of 6", which is half of a 1% slope at 100'. Fricken great 👍So, especially with the refurbished pricing, I am psyched on it. Battery life seems great also. One complaint insofar however, it seems that the reader struggles to read the laser and sometimes can't at all if it's not facing it fairly straight on. This can't be difficult when you're using it against a story Pole or a wall since it can require that you poaition the grade rod in an less than ideal fashion to get it set right at your marks. I think this can be mostly overcome with some creativity, and I do like that the grade rod doesn't have any protrusion off the sides of it below the laser (unlike the popular yellow ones), but it would he nice to have some dial in adjustability to the grade rode (like the yellow ones) to quickly find an elevations offset to your benchmark. All in all, gotta go 5 stars for now. If it breaks my heart on down the road, I'll be sure to come on back and cry about it.
