These shoes were recommended on the blog "Barking Dog Shoes" for people with heel spurs and plantar fasciatis, of which I have a problem. That is how I came to know of them. I decided to order them when Amazon.com had a promotion discount. And they are mostly great shoes. They look great, not like "problem feet" shoes. I have received many compliments for them. The hidden 1 inch wedge is very supportive in the heel area and my feet don't hurt at all in this area wearing these. The arches are very supportive as well. The fit of the shoe is medium to slightly wide but that works for me.The problem: the insole has a stitch line at the ball of the foot. WHY??!! The first couple of times I wore the shoes I had such friction and pain on the underside of my feet that I messaged Amazon to return them due to this defect. I could not walk as it hurt so much. A friend recommended I put thin insoles into the shoes to cover the stitching. I tried that and found instant relief. They were again so comfortable I decided to keep them. It does bother me though that a US$149 shoe (and add duty and shipping costs for Canadians) needs to have insoles in them. They should be made without this stupid stitch line which seems to serve no purpose other than to be decorative.Earthies: you need to redesign the insoles of your shoes so that the shoes are absolutely problem free. 4 stars for now, but maybe 5 in the future if you fix the design flaw.

I have plantar fasciitis and need a lot of arch support in my shoes, so after reading all of the positive reviews I decided to get a pair. The first pair I bought was too big (7), so I bought a second pair in my "normal" size (6.5). These shoes did not work for me - there was a little arch support but not as much as I thought there would be, but the main problem is that the back of the shoe was so stiff that it rubbed my heels raw and caused a big painful blister. Even with heel grips I could not get these shoes to work for me. Honestly, I had much more luck with less expensive leather shoes that I found at a store in the mall. I really wanted to love these shoes and planned to wear them for work, but really cannot recommend them.

Best flats I've ever bought - I need arch support and often wear Dansko clogs for that reason. I was looking for more delicate shoes that I could wear to the office and still get the arch support I needed. These are perfect - feels like I'm doing my hips and back a huge favor every time I wear them. I bought 4 pairs in different colors and pretty much wear them every day! I usually wear a 6.5 in other shoes, but a 7 in the Earthies tends to fit me better.The toes tend to scuff a little bit (so be mindful of "terrain"), but I repair the scuff with a little bit of clear nail polish - has worked well for me so far.HIGHLY recommended.

I didn't like them when they came in, they just didn't feel comfortable and I have a lot of foot pain and read that these are good for that, but it didn't seem so.... the arch seemed a bit high for me as well... but I kept them and after wearing them out a few times, they didn't feel too bad---now, they are very comfortable and I can easily wear them all day.... maybe they needed to be broken in! They look good and feel good!

I really wanted to like these shoes, however, they were significantly too small. I couldn't judge how good the support was because the shoe was extremely short. I even double checked the size thinking that maybe I had been shipped the wrong shoe, but they were marked the size 10 that I had ordered. I gave these shoes two stars because they were attractive looking, but I did not try a larger size because the fit seemed so extreme.

I am supposed to wear orthotics and I have to admit that I hadn't been wearing them regularly. I was experiencing severe foot pain and the podiatrist advised me to wear my orthotics all of the time. I had been having a hard time finding well made, cute, flat shoes that fit my orthotics. After doing some research I found Earthies. This company designs their shoes with orthotic foot beds which eliminates the need to insert additional support or orthotics. (This is not medical advice, this is what worked for me.) I tried on a pair of these shoes and I was so impressed with the quality and comfort of these shoes that I wore them right out of the store. I am a teacher. I am constantly walking and standing on my feet all day. At the end of a long day of wearing these shoes my feet aren't tired and more importantly they don't hurt. I recommend buying a half size smaller and as with any leather shoes expect a break in period. I suggest aggressively kneaded the back part of the shoe which helps them to break in and prevents blisters. The shoes are also suede leather so I also recommend spraying them with a protector. These shoes are expensive but I consider them an investment. They are worth it!

I have very flat feet and unfortunately can get a little fatigued without proper support. I have tried birkenstocks with great success and even crocs have a small amount and are very comfortable. These are a nice neat fit, some might find them narrow as I also have a narrow foot but they are great for me, loved the pattern, just that little bit dressy, but the support id really there and I have not yet broken them in as I find them just a bit uncomfortable, no doubt someone that either has arches or is used to orthotics would really get some needed support from these shoes. I haven't given up, they are too nice to just leave.
