Great!
I love these! I had one 15 years ago and totally forgot about them until I washed all my daughters bibs with my fuzziest sweater. I tried everything but could not get the little lint balls off. This came and I got all 15 bibs lint free in no time. Warning that is does remove some of the fabric of the bib too- only on some but for me that was okay.

Listen to all the bad reviews.
Do not buy this. It is poorly constructed. The one I bought would initially stay on constantly, regardless of where the on/off button was. I had to put in and remove the batteries when I wanted to use it and then stop using it. Like others, it soon stopped working entirely. It looks good on the outside, but if you open it up, it is made from the cheapest wire, which is bound to a motor by glue(? It might not be glue). I tried stripping the wire, rubbing off the glue, and wrapping the wire around the motor again, but it still didn't work in the end. I also found the reason for why it was always on: the piece of metal that should have been attached to the on/off switch was not attached. It was constantly in contact with the piece of metal that closed the circuit, which caused the device to be in a constant "on" state if batteries were in.

Not so great
It removes some pills but you have to repeatedly go over the spots

Works great
I needed this for several sweaters. Also used on my couch. Worked perfect and will be keeping to use on other items.

Works Great, Clothes and Furniture turned into "Like New"
I've had trouble finding one of these. I finally came across this one and after reviews I decided to try it out. Before buying this, I would try to simply pull on a fuzzball and many times it would do more damage and put a hole in my shirt.I have clothes that after a few washings, get the tiny fuzzballs on them and it makes the clothes look old. Well a few passes with this Lint Shaver and the fuzzballs disappear and the clothes look new again. The Shaver does not damage clothes in any way and only removes tiny fuzzballs that are common in wool and polyester type clothes.I also used this on cloth furniture. Over time, our couches had gotten many fuzzballs across the cushions from normal wear and tear. A few passes made the cushions look nice and smooth and again.I'd recommend this product to anyone looking to remove those irritating "fuzzballs"

Saved Me From Dumping My Clothes into the Trash
This lint shaver saved me a lot of time and money shopping for new sweaters (although I'll probably go and buy more sweaters regardless).Anyway, I had a lot of fuzz on my sweaters that just made them look really dingy and unflattering. So I bought this product, and it removed almost all the lint! I'm very happy. The one thing that I do not like about this product is that it sometimes can pick up a loose thread on the fabric and tear a small hole. Eventually that hole will get bigger and bigger with each wash and wear and you'll end up throwing your garment out anyway. LOL.But, it's helpful nonetheless.

Don't fall for 5 star rating
I got my first sweater shaver from a gadget catalogue for $5.99. It took two D batteries and was fabulous. I, unfortunately, got a little too excited and ran it too long without allowing the motor to cool down and burned it out. I wanted another, so I went to Amazon. I saw one similar to the one I wanted to replace but it was given only a one and a half star rating. I shopped through and saw the Sunbeam (name-brand recognition) with a five star rating for eleven dollars and change, so I went for it. What a piece of junk. Two AA batteries that took five minutes to install because the design is so flimsy. AA? How much power is that going to give? Not much. I wasted my money. I will be looking for the kind I wanted in the first place, but not on Amazon. Amazon's descriptions should include the size of battery required. I would have known immediately that AA batteries would not provide the kind of power necessary. Don't fall for star ratings. If it looks like something you think will work, go with it. Sunbeam sucks, and I will never buy another Sunbeam product as long as I live.

Broke Almost Immediatly
This little shaver seemed to work really nice, for the few times it actually worked. I don't know if it snagged on something, or a part broke, but by the second day, the shaver stopped working. Since there's really no user-serviceable parts, there was nothing for me to open up and fix, no way to checking for caught thread or something else that might have blocked the shaver. In the end, it just turned out to be a waste of money. You may get lucky and have a completely fine run with this item, but for me, it was a lemon.
