The devil is in the details
I ordered multiple sets of these chairs. The first set was great. No visible issues. The second set had a really wobbly leg and a damaged seat due to delivery. But I called for a return without issue — thank you Amazon, seriously, sincerely. BUT that set also came with a damaged chair and a torn seat. But I had at least four goods chairs (the 2 duds will go to next garage sale).About the chairs:The chair seat is wide and comfortable. I really like the height of the backrest. It hits near the middle of my back but it’s curved and wide so you can lean back and stretch without discomfort. They don’t slide under the tabletop but they don’t stick above it either. This was the primary reason I bought them (my room can’t handle tall chairs). They look great hugging the curve of the table! I love the classic style. I love the walnut stain. It paired well with the rich honey finish of my table. The frame is solid. They’re everything I wanted! However...The assembly: Let me add to the chorus of reviews. Yes, assembly is a pain. You will need longer screws. But you will also want a pair of clamps. I’ve included pictures of what worked for me.The problem is the countersink depth (that’s the depth in which the screw stops) on the side left/right holes. They vary. None were created equal. One chair required longer screws, another chair took both sizes. So each individual hole might need longer or shorter screws.Removing/backing out the screws from their holes once you’ve started is also an issue. 1. You might strip the screws AND the holes you’ve made in the seat. 2. As in my case, they might spin in place. I didn’t have a magnet so I had to get creative with superglue. I included a picture of that hilarity too. Maybe try the screws into the holes before attaching the seat to see which holes need longer or short screws?Once you square the seat over the chair I suggest starting with the front and back— that’ll give you a solid start. In my case the included screws were sufficient. No gaps. They were the perfect length and didn’t poke through the seat.To avoid a gap between the seat and the frame and to get the best bite/grip — use clamps. You cannot hold it down while you work. You cannot have someone assist by putting pressure on them while you work. We tried all that. The seat has a hard smile shape. Clamps were the only way to go for a tight seamless fit. I’ve attached photos so you can see the difference between clamps and no clamps. But even then—they might pop out! Unbelievable. In that case you have a bad chair save yourself time and return.Go easy and make sure to keep checking/pressing the top of the seat with your fingers as you’re working so you don’t go too far and poke through the fabric seat. Hand tighten. Do not use a drill.I also want to mention that the chairs have some “distress” marks from the factory assembly. I don’t mind but it bares mentioning.Overall...? Yeah, I would buy them again. I think the low price ($199 for the set!) reflects the faux leather seats and required assembly. But if I’d had a bigger budget? Probably not. Assembly was crazy. And now knowing how hard these seats are to attach — I don’t think reupholstering them is even an option. I don’t see how I could re-attach them without making it worse. They really should be sold assembled.Thank you to those who reviewed these chairs and added photos! I appreciated the heads up! Hope this review helps others too. Good luck!Edited to include the price I paid. ($199 + tax)

Love style but cushion quality average
These chairs were exactly what I was looking for for my hand crafted solid black walnut live edge table. I ordered two to make sure they looked like I hoped and also check the quality as the price was much better then the other options I had been researching. The first two came and frame is assembled and you just screw in the seat. Frame was sturdy and seats were ok. They are stapled on the bottom to keep on. I put together which I can't normally do anything like that so very easy. I liked very much the way they looked and are very comfortable even for bigger folks as the seats are wide. The low profile show cases the table unlike big back typical chairs which is what I was going for. So I was all in and ordered 2 more sets for 6 chairs total. They came and 2 were fine but two the cushions weren't stapled on the two corners by the back of chair. I was worried the foam would start coming out pretty quickly if not stapled correctly. I called Amazon as really didn't want to deal with returning everything when I just needed the cushions (which by far are the cheapest part of chair). They said it would have to be returned in whole since it comes from the company selling them but that I could call Poly and Bark and see if they could do it. I called them and was obviously a very small customer service department. They were nice and understood and said they would look in warehouse but that they had new manufacturer so it might be different then the one I had. They were going to call me back but I called them after about 4 business days to check. The person was aware of issue and said they had checked and didn't find any extra so best thing to do would return whole thing to Amazon and get new ones. So I decided it was only option but I can't now figure out how they fit in box together and have several people try. At this point I've spent too much time figuring out all this for the staple issue . I've decided I'm probably just going to cancel the exchange and see if some friend has a staple gun and staple the ends and be done with it. I would have given 4 to 5 stars if it wasn't for the two cushions. I've been using the first two for a few months heavily as it's a kitchen table and so far holding up. I expect the cushions will be issue first and I may need to get someone to make me a little better quality ones.First picture how it looks with table. Second is two cushions stapled on all parts. Third is picture of two with no staples on two ends.

Not bad for the price, not as nice as the photos online.
Number 1, read the tips provided by the other reviewer about using clamps when installing the cushions...that was clutch. Number 2, these are only just okay. I had to return my first set because 1 chair was assembled crooked...one leg was a good 1/2" from the ground causing the entire chair to rock. Also, the way they package these chairs, the cushions are packed at the very bottom of the box where they are subject to a lot of friction and rubbing. Even though the cushions were wrapped in cheap protective foam padding, the PU leather was always scuffed/torn on at least 1 cushion. Because I waited for my replacement set of chairs to arrive before I sent back my defective ones, I was able to take at least 1 undamaged cushion from each set of chairs to get 2 good cushions. Also, all the chairs showed some minor scratches or scuffs on the wood.Lastly, the wood is a lot lighter than the walnut color portrayed online. Kind of a bummer, because a deeper walnut would have been better looking. Also, I found that the finish was a bit glossier than I had hoped for, making the whole thing look kind of cheap. It's got that wannabe MCM vintage look, but the chairs are clearly new production, you know? I've contemplated stripping the finish and refinishing them to a matte deep walnut, but time will tell.

Love the chairs
These chairs tick most of our boxes. They look great, they seem sturdy, and the comfort level is good. We like that they are not heavy and are easy for us to pick up and move. After seeing the first set we bought a second set and are very pleased. They arrived assembled and well packed which is a big bonus when you have to ship to Hawaii.
