Before installing the coin battery, did you have to snip off the wires sticking out of the battery (with a pair of scissors, etc)?

I remove the wires by using the soldering gun to heat the old soldering. I changed mine but they will charge but once I place them on the charging case the battery will drain. Best of luck!
