Great unit. Excellent cooling even in FL day room. Saved us when central air went out. I have used it several times during home HVAC issues. Easy to set up quickly. I have three of these and the most recent one has a exhaust hose change. The old ones had an oblong connector to attach the exhaust hose to the window slider, the new one has a round one. This may intervene with your window sill. I had to add a 3/4" wood spacer to the hose fitting above the window sill. Not an issue with the oblong fitting on same window. Also a 2L Camel (Mdvora) back bladder works perfectly to catch any condensate draining. Just stick the hose up the drain fitting. QDC makes emptying easy. This unit has an evaporator built in, so I have never had any drainage. We also have an old SPT portable without the evaporator and it filled up a 3 L bag about every 6 hours.

This is a great Air Conditioner. Cools quickly and easy to use with remote . It doesn’t take up a lot of space

Unit is great at cooling. Noise level doesn’t bother me but may be too loud for some people. Love having a remote to control it. Only real complaint is that the pieces for the window are flimsy and don’t work well at creating a seal in the window.

I wasn't expecting to get this much use out of this unit, but it has been going strong every summer for 5 years in a row. Bought it when my central air went out, started saving for new HVAC install, price keeps going up faster than I can save. But thanks to this Black+Decker indoor AC unit, we have not died from heat stroke in my 1300 sq ft home. It cools off the top 2 levels of a tri-level to 75f, with the aid of a fan to blow air up the stairs. That is until the heat index gets up around 110f, and it starts to lose ground. Thankfully we only get a handful of those days. I don't really trust the exhaust only setup, because it blows out a lot of hot air. With no external intake hose, it has to be sucking that air in through every crack and crevice in my house, which seems a little counterproductive. I'm still giving it 5 stars because it still manages to cool off my home, it does it with minimal maintenance (clean the filter screen, drain the water, 2 maybe 3 times a season), and it has definitely exceeded it's expected lifespan. The remote still works on the original batteries, and we use it a lot.

Easy set up. Cools well, a little noisy but not intolerable. The automatic opening door is a little strange, not sure how it will hold up over time. The oscillation of the door does help circulate the cool air, the cool air will naturally tend to go downward from the ceiling area. To be fair, it opens about 3/4 of the way, so it never points directly up at the ceiling. All the window parts fit perfectly, little adjustment needed.

Purchased this air conditioner it took a little longer than expected to arrive. I unboxed it, hooked it up, and it worked great. It was a little loud on the second day. It was much more loud in the compressor would shut off and blow hot air. The compressor would eventually kick back on, but was extremely loud again and then it would kick off shortly producing no cool air and even a bigger pain because it’s 100° and I now have to try to box this back up which I’m not even sure I can do and try to ship it back. I did try calling the number provided, but there were no agents available to talk to and I had to leave a message and I haven’t heard anything back yet and it’s been a day.

My son moved back home and into the loft upstairs. The room is huge! But it was as HOT! We didn't feel like spending $7K for a new A/C unit since it still works just not as well, so I bought this for the loft. It's amazing! The room is now cold and it's quiet and it looks great from outside. Just a small exhaust. Done and did! Wish we could do our entire home this way. Haha! I was really worried it would appear like a window unit from the outside but no it does not. Included a photo from outside because it's not obvious at all.

We have a 1000 sq/ft master bedroom and bathroom combo. We had a smaller portable AC that just couldn't keep up so we splurged for this one. Our home HVAC was out so we needed something that would last a couple weeks. We didn't care about noise, energy level or anything else. Just a big AC unit that could cool our space and this delivered. I am close to 3 stars on this one as I feel there is an opportunity to send better plastic window panels. Our older unit came with far better options on this, and the enclosed materials didn't fully fit our window. We had to cobble something together so the vent could go out our window. Don't get me wrong, the AC unit itself is amazing. iT's powerful and cools well. I think Black and Decker got too cheap with the window panels that made the whole unit far less helpful.
