This set was such a fun build, and it looks beautiful.

A small amount of background-- like many people I grew up playing with Legos. I absolutely loved building the castle sets and think about those times quite fondly. That was over 20 years ago, and I haven't built a set since. When I saw the blacksmith's house online, I thought it looked amazing. As a big fan of medieval architecture, the building really caught my eyes. I had never heard of the Lego Ideas concept before, so was quite surprised to learn about all that. I got sick and so decided to buy this, as I knew I was going to be stuck inside the house for quite a few days. WOW, what an impressive product! I built it over a few days, and had so many jaw dropping moments where I just had to stop and marvel at how creatively the designer crafted this unit. The amount of details in the set are mind boggling, and yet it never feels overdone or like things were slapped on. Ever brick was so lovingly considered in this set. I HIGHLY recommend it. TLDR: if you you like medieval architecture, appreciate good design, and have an eye for detail, treat yourself and GET THIS SET!

Great packaging to ensure that the Lego set including the box was not damaged. Timely delivery. Most of all, this is a wonderful medieval set which my girl and I enjoyed building.

I built this to use in a rotating display I have in my living room. I built it in stages over a few days. It uses a lot of small pieces to make some cool designs. It was a lot of fun to make, and it looks great. It was worth its price, and would be a perfect gift to any lego enjoyer.

Absolutely love how the building turned out. It is currently the standout piece for my medieval layout and a definite buy for anyone who enjoys the castle theme or medieval themes in their Lego builds. The only lacking aspect for the price of this was coming with 4 mini-figures where I feel an additional 2 or so would have made an improvement. The horse figure could have made up for this more if it came with a optional saddle or barding. However, these factors do not take away from the amazing build and it is definitely worth the original price
