Missing parts as described…
7/31/2024: Ordered size large (7-7 1/2) in gray and had shipped directly to my grandson for his birthday. It’s his first helmet so don’t know how this compares to other helmets; however, the only thing in the box was the helmet and did not come with the jaw guard and screws as described:“ With patent-pending Double Lock Design, the included jaw guard attaches to either the right or left side. Secure it with screws (included) for an extra level of protection and remove them to move the guard to the opposite side. Available in both Senior (7-7½) and Junior (6 ½-7) sizes in six color combinations with a matte finish.”Please send the jaw guard and screws.

Padding is very thick, doesn't fit all the way down on head
Sides fit good but top padding is so thick it doesn't fit all the way down on head, sets more on top of head.

Great for little batters
I originally selected this because I thought my tiny would want to be a baseball player for Halloween. Turns out he’s not really a Halloween kinda kid but he does LOVE baseball.With 4 boys who play baseball in the house you can never have enough helmets. As a helmet owned by a kid this is a great item. We didn’t find it to be overly hot, and it fit well. The padding is thick and keeps the helmet snug against his noggin.Depending on the price point at the time of purchase I would have no fears buying this again

Excellent craftsmanship
Super tough and I feel it is safe. Well constructed for rough play. Excellent coating on exterior so it won’t scratch easily. Built for comfortable long time wear. Great ear protection as well. Has good ventilation for hot summer days. I don’t imagine this would crack very easily.

Looks good, but a tight fit.
I have two kids that are 7 and 8. My 7yo is average size for his age and this fits him fine. Snug. My 8yo is about the size of an average 10yo. This helmet is very tight. So my recommendation is if you think it's going to be tight buy a size up. Oh yeah, this is a buy. The helmet is strong with thick padding. There are holes to put on a face guard if you like. The paint looks just like the pictures. This is a top notch helmet.
