Ignore the Naysayers and Complainers. This is a great product. I'm 70 years old and have had two eye operations (cataracts & detached retinas) on both eyes. No problem reading the numbers. Bought two. One for my tool box and the other for my drill press. Well worth the investment. Five Stars.

Gages are well made.

These things are definitely well made, thick with a nice polished finish. The finish can cause a lot of glare under bright lights, and the numbers are stamped (and small), so they can be tough to read at times. No biggie. If you get attacked, you could use these as a weapon by either blinding your attacker with the glare or cracking their skull with it. They're that heavy. The gauge holes seem tight to me. I used to be a machinist, and I realize they're not "go-no go" gauges, but the holes don't agree with your average drill index and are somewhat inconsistent, i.e. an #21 wire gauge bit won't fit in it's corresponding hole without a fight, but a #11 and a #29 fit just fine with no slop. Had a similar issue with the fractional one. In fairness, it could be my drill bits, or maybe these are more accurate than anything else I have.

I had bought a box full of drill bits from an industrial site. This helped sorting them all out. From number bits to alphabet bits.
