Cotton Cloud Natural Beds and Furniture Pioneer Twin Extra Long Size Futon

This 6 inch deep, soft, cushiony, comfortable to sit in futon came rolled up and tied around in two places with cotton tape. It was inside a big plastic bag, in a large cardboard box, both of which we recycled. It replaced a pretty much rock hard 4 inch futon that came twenty years ago with our L.L.Bean adjustable mission chair. This 6 inch futon fits the chair very nicely, but snugly and works very well in all four chair positions. It's a little harder to get up out of than the rock hard futon, but it's well worth it for the much added comfort. I now easily take the occasional nap in the chair with the new futon. The two inch difference in depth hasn't made much if any difference in the height and usablity of the arm rests of the chair. The back of the chair in it's most upright position is more noticeably vertical than before, which is also an improvement, so I notice the two inches there. Highly recommend.Update October 11, 2016 This futon has firmed up and provides a hard firm body conforming surface where I sit in it. Like it very much.

Well... I had a cotton cloud before that we had purchased from the cotton cloud store. I loved that one. This cotton cloud mattress is not as thick as our last one and it's actually pretty uncomfortable. I can feel the wooden bed slats from the platform bed through this mattress. I'm pretty bummed and hoping I can return it. I gave 2 starts because I like the material and it did come on time.
