Great iron for we who feel neatly pressed clothing is part of good grooming.
Excellent iron. I looked neatly pressed in no time because of the amount of steam generated. Steam is only available at higher temperatures, so an old pillow case or flour sack dish towel to use to protect some fabrics can be handy. I live in an area with very hard water, so I use a one to one mixture of tap water and distilled water. Never the less, despite being self cleaning, I still must very occasionally do a manual cleaning by pouring white vinegar into the tank, heating the iron to the highest setting, and pressing the steam burst button until I smell vinegar. Then I unplug and cool it, and set it soleplate down on an old towel over night. Next day I reheat it, blast the vinegar through as steam, rinse the tank, and blast through a tank of pure distilled water. Voila, the iron steams as if new. I perform this procedure if I notice a decrease of steam coming from several hundred holes in the soleplate. The front end conveniently narrows to a nice point for narrow areas, fine pleats, or going between buttons.

... ordered this iron because I iron a lot and liked my friends Rowenta Iron when I visited
I ordered this iron because I iron a lot and liked my friends Rowenta Iron when I visited. She uses hers for sewing and quilting to get nice flat seams and square corners. This tip is great for that as well as pressing shirts and blouses. It also has a great many steam vents to get a nice even burst of steam. I am having difficulty registering the product as I ordered it thru Amazon and not sure where to find the proof of purchase!

No Wrinkles
Have owned this for about a week. And so far I am impressed. This iron has a stainless steel ironing plate with lots of holes to propel steam thru. And a well designed nose that aids in tough to get to areas. Two thumbbuttons allow quick access to water spray and quick burst of steam. This iron replaced a 25 year old iron. And is a decided improvement. Larger by about a third. And great design details. Would definitely buy again.

It stays where you set it!
I just received this today and did a test run - but haven't done any actual garment ironing. Easy to fill, easy controls. Like the feel of it and that the cord swivels -particularly when setting the iron on the board to adjust the garment. My last iron did not have a swivel cord and was always tipping over and off the board - finally breaking during one of those falls - thus the reason for a new iron.

Hope it last as long as my 38 yr old iron does or did until it was recycled
I finally threw out my iron that I received as a wedding gift 38 yrs ago. Yes I still have and use the ironing board too. I just buy new covers ever so often. My trusty old iron with pieces broken or cracked and a few dents still worked. I just wanted a new one to go with my new cover.I like the styling and light weight of this Rowena. I used a friends different style Rowenta years ago.I liked the style of this one for the price. It is light weight and glides easily while ironing.

Nice iron
Good steam, comfortable, good dials - the turn dial could be a little easier to use and the water window is hard to 'read' the amount of water left - but good iron; not heavy and irons well.

Best iron company out in my opinion
i love my Rowenta iron... i find them to be some of the smoothest gliding irons when it comes to gliding across fabric. they are some of the quickest heating irons out....with lots of steam ports 400+. The longevity is amazing. the quality of this iron is just better than some of the other less expensive irons out. Heat distribution is also great..., meaning i don't have to tilt or lean the iron forward or any other way to make sure my fabric gets even heat.

Pleasure to iron with
This is the first time I’ve ever purchased or used a Rowenta iron and it’s been so nice to use. Light weight, easy gliding and easy to use. Only 3 steam settings. The only little thing that could be improved is, to bad they used a black plastic water storage. Just a wee bit difficult to monitor the water level. Other then that, great iron.

Great iron ... for the price
Excellent steam volume, good weight ... I've gone through 3 irons (bought & returned, defects) recently but this is the one I'm keeping, working well for my quilting ..... cons - can't see into water tank very well, shot of steam button seems to be on the wrong side for right handed thumb.

Expensive
The item is made in China. if the brand keeps to manufacture their products in China. I will not buy it because it is expensive comparing to others products.
