Good Book
I love ripple quilts and after awhile they can get boring. This book inspired me to get creative with my ripples.

Limited Info... Not recommended
Slightly less than average in patterns, descriptions, explanation, photos. The pattern on the cover is nice, but not worth the price of the whole book. If you are a beginner, this is NOT the book for you. Not enough info. For someone proficient, it shows several ways to use a standard ripple pattern and "jazz it up". I don't believe the cost supports the limited content and would not recommend this book to anyone. There are so many other good ones out there... pass this one by.

Beautiful!
I really love the patterns and colorways shown in this book. I only wish it had stitch diagrams because sometimes that really helps. Still, I look forward to tackling these patterns!

I am so happy with this book
I am so happy with this book. It's has A LOT of ripple stitches (50), way more than I expected and it's a deal at that price when I've seen smaller books cost much more. It has all the patterns but does not have diagrams, just the stitches guide in the back and a nice metric conversion chart in the back.

It is what it says it is!
The book is titled 50 ripple stitches and that's what you get. Some complex . Some simple. All are interesting and can give you inspiration for that next afghan or baby blanket. Why not ' ripple ' a bookmark? Or create a rippled bracelet? Experiment rippling with different weights of yarn or crochet thread! and different size hooks. Make your own color combos. Most of all, have FUN!

Very disappointing.
A disappointing book. Visually illiterate, it contains no visual instructions or designs, only written instructions. This wouldn't be so bad if those verbal directions actually corresponded to the key at the back, but half the stitches mentioned are not listed or described there. Yes, there is a link to a website, but as my computer is at work and my crochet is done at home, this option is useless for me. Some of the photography is hopeless too, with white stitching shot against a white background. This book may be useful for someone familiar with all the stitches used, and doesn't need to look them up, or for a person who doesn't think visually, as most artists and crafts people do. Such a shame as these things would have been easy to address, and the editors should have noticed these problems.

A very good reference book - despite it being written for the American market.
These ripple stitches are beautiful to make. They are also versatile. I have made afghans from them, used them to add borders to afghans and also to enhance knitted garments. They offer patterns which are easy to use as well as more difficult ones and therefore this book is suitable for crochet people with all skills and levels. A necessary addition to any crafters bookshelf I recommend it to every crochet worker everywhere.

useful mine of ideas
What a mine of lovely designs and ideas. There is a small but very useful guide to stitches at the back with clear diagrams showing each one. Illustrations show very dated colours but it does not take much imagination to think of how the stitches could be used in modern garments, throws and edgings.

Great set of designs
This really goes beyond the basics if you want ideas for eye catching ripple blankets. Lots of the depend on colours that work but this is part of the appeal as I am hopeless at putting my own colours together. Good quality and clear instructions. Love it!

50 Ripple Stitches
Extremely useful book for any crochet enthusiast. The fact that it gives the multiples of stitches required for each pattern really helps when making different items. Be careful when translating American instructions and stitches into English!
