First...and most importantly...the width of these is the height of the small inserts. So you can cut these to make blank inserts or numbers since they only make letters for the small ones.You can use dry erase markers on them. I'd test a spot with the marker first to be safe.BUT...when you go to clean them, I'd use a wipe for lenses or something very soft. Paper towels will scratch them easily.
