This is one heavy duty little box
This box is build like a tank. I read a review before I made my purchase that stated this box could be used as a small safe if the lock was changed, it actually is strong enough to do that, though, if I was going to do that I would use my tig welder to weld up all the seems and buy the next size up.My application is to house a KB Electronics variable speed DC drive for a small lathe. This size box is barely big enough as the stated dimensions are for the outside so the inside is smaller so expect that. I kinda wish I had bought the next size larger box. I bought a AC Infinity AXIAL 9238, Muffin Fan, 115V 120V AC 92mm x 38mm to stick on the bottom to keep the drive cool. Going to have to cut the top and bottom open for air flow and that is not going to be easy due to the thick steel construction of this box, oh well. Nothing worth doing is easy. The heavy weight of this box is not going to be an issue as after it is all done, it will be screwed to a wall securely.I give this product my recommendation as a quality well made item. If you need it, buy it.UPDATE: I have since found out this same company makes a light weight aluminum box of similar size that I think would have worked better for my application, at least it would have been lighter and more easy to cut and drill. I did not know about the aluminum box before I ordered this heavy steel box. It has been a lot of work cutting fan sized holes in this heavy steel box. So for any of you who need a similar box but don't need it to be such heavy steel, look for the light duty aluminum box BUD offers.See link below for the light weight BUD aluminum box BUD Industries CU-3009-A Aluminum Electronics Minibox, 8" Length x 6" Width x 3-1/2" Height, Natural Finish ~

Great low-cost electrical enclosure for exposed applications
I am using this as a junction box to house two Class 2 power supplies in a closet for driving LED tape lights. It took me a while to find a product at this price point that was intended for this purpose (the NEC requires the product be intended for the purpose), but it works great. The knock-outs were easy to get out and the box has plenty of room for my two Mean Well LPV-60-24 LED drivers and associated wire nuts and zip ties. The only thing that would make this product better would be if there were attachment points built in to the interior for mounting hardware in the box. I ended up making do by threading my wall-mounting screws (not included) through a rigid cable tie and then zip-tying my hardware to that.

Perfect outlet holder!
This box made life a lot easier than trying to fit a big Hubbell 14-50R plug into a standard gang box. The knockouts came out without too much fanfare and the overall construction is solid, all at a great price point.

It's no Hoffman
This is a reasonably good enclosure. The unavailability of a subpanel and the fact that the ground point is not dimpled inward (the ground screw runs into the wall) prevented me from rating it higher

Plan ahead.
Excellent enclosure. Knock-outs are difficult. Inner diameter almost impossible to remove without the outer diameter included. Plan for both standard (3/4") and oversize (1") wire clamps.

ideal for a communications hub.
I used this to aggregate incoming cable, telephone, and ethernet for an easy-to-hide in a cabinet distribution center. To install, I mounted on stainless steel brackets so the box lid can easily open while still recessed within a 2x4 stud wall.

Very good general project box for extraineous equipment.
I got this box to mount an ICM450 3 phase monitor to watch the building incoming 480 line so I could start a generator when necessary. The box is perfect for such a purpose. Plenty of knock-outs. There are no standoff mountings so if attaching to a block wall that could potentially sweat, secure appropriately. I will probably use this type of BUD box in the future for an array of projects.
