Amazing Banjo!
Absolutely loving the new banjo! This banjo is perfect for beginners. The sound quality and playability is top notch. Also the size and weight is perfect but still good quality material.Highly recommend to anyone interested in the purchase of a banjo.

Real quality at a great price
OK, I did not NEED another ukulele, most especially not a banjo ukulele. But I admit to suffering from what a friend calls "ukulele acquisition syndrome". When I read the professional reviews for this banjolele, I really wanted it. Then I found the great price on Amazon, and I was hooked.I have been playing my Kmise almost daily in the weeks since it arrived. It is as easy to play as my best ukes, and it sounds great on my folk repertoire, including, especially, the sea shanties that my uke club loves. (I must admit that I return to my regular ukes for romantic songs and many show tunes.)

7.5/10
I don't know an entire much about instruments, but from what I've seen this is a pretty good 5 string for the price, the mounts for the resonator like to come loose where it secures the screws to the resonator, but otherwise it holds tune well and the stuff it comes with is worth it and generally useful.

This is a great banjolele, fun to play, and SUPER cheap!
I would have been satisfied spending three times the cost of this well-made and great-sounding banjo uke. It looks good, it feels good in my hands, and it's loud! It takes several weeks of frequent touch-ups to get it to the point where it holds tune. It comes with the bridge un-installed, and some folks have been unhappy about that--because they haven't read the review that specifies just where to place the bridge (just as far again down the body of the uke as the 12th fret is from the nut). I had no trouble with that. Mine came with the bridge in two pieces (busted), but these folks sent me a whole replacement uke within days of my asking for a new bridge. I'm very happy with this instrument.

Amazing Value!
I've played guitar and ukulele for about 57 years, and of course have been through quite a few instruments-- enough to know a good one when I hold it and play it. This Kmise concert-scale banjo uke was my first venture into the "banjolele" world. It is very well put together, plays accurately, feels great, and sounds very nice! (The only modification I made was to remove the back cover, loosely stuff a couple of plastic bags (such as you'd get when buying things at Walgreen's or Target) in there, and then replace the back cover, which served to nicely tone down the otherwise loud voice of the instrument. I just don't think you could ask for more in an instrument-- and at this price it's an absolutely insane value! Highly recommended!

Missing items, poor customer service experience
I purchased this banjo as ‘used-like new,’ and it was described as including a tuner, picks, strap, spare springs, and other accessories. Only the banjo, tuner, and case arrived in the package—extremely annoying! I followed amazon’s instructions in case of problems and emailed the selling company Kmise’s customer service asking for help, but they never replied. The banjo itself is of reasonably good quality and it would be hard for me to replace it in time for my needs, so I have decided not to return it. Since I didn’t receive all the promised items, though, the value of this purchase was significantly less than expected. Worst of all, the company is non-responsive about problems! I wish I could leave a good review since the banjo itself is a solid value for a beginner instrument, but because of the issues with fulfillment and customer service, I can’t recommend purchasing this banjo or any other instruments from this company.

great Banjolele & tuner.... broken softcase zipper agreed replaced free within 1/4 day of receipt.
Updated & Upgrading from 3 to 5 stars. Seller contacted within a few hours of receiving to replace bag with broken softcase zipper.. agreed to replace case free within 3 hours of my contacting them.:::: original review follows::::::Would have gotten 5 stars if main softcase zipper didn't fall apart upon first unzipping. Banjolele itself is very good in design, sound quality and construction with only fault is that the 4 tuner knobs are a bit on the lightweight side but tuner gears are very good. Separate Tuner is nice and works well. The banjolele has good and lound sound strummed with only fingers as well. Banjolele bridge easily set up and tuned. Has side fret marker dots as well as on fretboard face. The banjolele is better in quality than price asked so, not too upset over a cheap zipper in the softcase arriving in 3 broken pieces.

Unique voice
I’m not a uke or banjo player. I play guitar in Irish sessions and someone brought one to the session. It was loud enough to hear over the rest and it looked cool. My instrument came in good condition without a case or gig bag. I didn’t get the cool package with all that. I tuned up and started playing. It’s got a consistent tone with a unique voice. I don’t think there’s much usable neck beyond the third or fourth fret. Not much sound anyway but it seems most uke players are always using first position chords. That being said, I’m satisfied with the instrument but sorry I missed buying the package with the case, tuner and whatever else they included.
