Aobrill Bread Slicer for Homemade Bread Foldable Toast Slicer with Non-Slip Mat (1PCS, White)

We bought a bread maker but the downside is having to slice your own loaf. This little gadget is perfect, you can choose the thickness of the slice you want and it's big enough to fir all the loaves we have made. The non slip mat that comes with it is a great bonus and makes sure the device stays put while you're slicing. I need to invest in a longer bread knife as this would prevent the knife from coming out of the slot as I sliced but the product itself isn't to blame for this. A great thing to have if you bake your own bread.

Bought this slicer to cut home made loaves.The slicer works fine overall, but has two drawbacks.1: The minimum slice is too thick - it needs a thinner slice option, the minimum is about 1cm.2: The slicing groove at the bottom tends to get cut by the the knife when each slice of bread is cut. This allows crumbs to work their way into the knife cuts/chips in the groove and makes it awkward to clean.Otherwise it's a simple and easy device to manually slice home made bread or uncut loaves from the bakery. 4 stars overall, fix these drawbacks and it would be 5 star!

I'll start with the most annoying feature, which is a misleading indication of delivery. At the time I ordered, there was a choice of similar items. This one had the "order within the next 1h 37m for delivery today" enticement. On placing the order, it was confirmed with delivery for the following day. Not the end of the world, but very annoying, very misleading and probably in contravention of various advertising rules, but Amazon do it all the time.Now to the product - it doesn't really cut thin enough for sandwiches, but if you want thick toast or door wedges it does an OK job, but I can do that by hand! It does make slicing a bit quicker, so in that respect it does work. If you are wanting to cut bread for sandwiches, this isn't the product you need. Of course, you don't discover this until you break the seal on the packaging - and then you can't return it.I'll keep it and use it as it is a little quicker, but the time I save is then spent in dismantling it to clean it.

Tried several bread slicers. This one is excellent, both for handmade and machine made bread. Easy to use and easy to clean. A bread knife with a long blade is essential in my view. The slices are uniform and perfect thickness.

Looked like a good product with good reviews. Ideal now that I’m making my own bread. However, the whole unit is flimsy, the thinnest slice is still thick and it didn’t make it easier cutting bread. In fact this made it a lot harder.Plus trying to clean it is a nightmare. Crumbs get everywhere and make it difficult just to wipe down

It works perfectly. Slices easily, on all settings, thin to thick, using just a normal bread knife. Use gentle pressure on the knife and it cuts through even the crustiest bread with ease.Those people who have had problems are probably putting too much downward force on the bread knife.And for those who don't know, a bread knife has a serrated edge to saw through the bread.

On the face of it this item seems ok for the money, however in use the minimum thickness is 1.8 cm. Difficult to know what to use such a thick slice of bread for. I suppose it woul be ok for cake but it’s a bread slicer. I have inserted a 6 mm spacer between bread and spacer which makes it ok but should’ve really be necessary. I will not buy again.

We love this device. So long at the knife is long enough to go through the slat at the top! A 10 inch knife would work best. Loved the even slice thickness on the narrowest setting. Can't see where we would use the wider setting at the minute. So easy to clean. The white mat stops it moving around. Brilliant!
