Are they weatherproof? Would like to use on exterior hydraulic lines if possible.

They are made plastic, and easily marked with a Sharpie. The wrap-around locking tab may not fit the diameter for the hydraulic lines you intend to mark. I am an engineer and would guess the max diameter would be between 1/4"-5/8". They are designed to tag a key or a key ring.
