Versatility is amazing.
Love this unit. We have a workshop just over 3000 ft.² and it fills that area with music no problem. Love the Bluetooth technology and the USB port for charging cell phones etc. as well as the 4 additional 110 plugs.

My first impressions about this radio was better than I expected
My first impressions about this radio was better than I expected, I was thinking that the radio was actually going to be larger than I expected but that didn't turn out to be true(about the size of a milk crate). This will be great for working in the yard, tailgating, or taking to the beach or lake. If you want to use it without it having to be plugged in you will need to purchase a tool battery separately, I don't have any Bosch power tools so i had to purchase a lithium battery and i went ahead and got the 6.0 amp hr 18v lithium ion battery which is another $96.03 on top the unit just so it can be used on the go. I did notice that this model does not come with the features that the previous model that this unit replaced which is why i knocked it down one star. But all in all I like the radio and hope to get many years of great use.Pros:RuggedGreat features (Bluetooth)Good solid constructionHours of sounds without having it plugged inThe sound does not stop when you transition from being plugged in to battery powerCons:Media door is probably going to be too small for most phonesI would like for the screen to be slightly better with the ability to read out what song is playing.Lacks features from the previous model (PB360D) which included 2 aux imports, 12v plug, audio out, wireless remote, sd card reader, docking station for xm radio, and 50 watts of sound compared to this model which has 26 watts.

The Whale Box Cometh
This thing has changed the way I work around the house. That may sound extreme, but as an aspiring handyman and journeyman weightlifter with a home gym and a serious fondness for music, it's true. This radio is Bosch quality and style all the way around, meaning it's extremely solid and very user-friendly.So, the build quality: excellent, as far as I can tell. I've put this thing through its paces for several months now, and haven't had even the slightest hiccup out of it. This thing is heavy. I mean it. It's a chunk. We call it the Whale Box. It's a beast. You'll be glad for the carrying handle on the top. The actual box itself doesn't ever touch the ground. The rails running around it keep the box suspended between them no matter what side you lay it on. The subwoofer is on the bottom, so when set upright, it'll fire down into whatever surface you've set it on, giving it good sound and surprising presence for its size. I play bass guitar, and I'm impressed by the bottom-end power this thing can produce, especially for its size. Just set the EQ to 'Rock' and wait for your neighbors to complain or compliment. Depends on the neighbor, I suppose. I suggest having a drink ready for them either way.On to the functions, then. You can sync your phone to it over Bluetooth (flawless syncing, by the way), use it as an AM/FM radio (fold-down antenna included), plug in a USB flash drive full of music, or use the included male-to-male aux cable to attach pretty much any music player you want. There is even a sealable bay on the side to store and protect your music player or flash drive. If you're going to use a flash drive, it needs to be a very short one, as the bay door closes down and leaves no room for a longer one. I guess you could use a longer drive and just leave the door open, but flash drives are so cheap now I don't a reason to not buy one just for this box. This box is the command center for your Bosch tools. It has a backlit clock with a AA battery backup. There's a charging bay in the back that accepts Bosch 18v batteries. Plug the box into the wall and charge a battery while you use the others and enjoy some music. Like the aux bay, it has a door and will close over the smaller batteries. The other side has a pair of spring-loaded flaps that cover a pair of three-prong outlets each. They're all 120v AC, and the box tells you that the outlets will put out a combined max of 10 amps. And, if you download the Bosch app, you can even use this little dude as a PA. Imagine the possibilities.Seriously. Get yourself a Bosch drill and driver set, a circular saw (preferably the worm gear version, if you can afford it), and a reciprocating saw and there won't be much you can't handle in short order.None of this is to say that Bosch is the ultimate tool company. It definitely has its problems and its competitors. Milwaukee, Makita, and DeWalt all make outstanding products. Hilti is almost objectively better, but you'll certainly pay for it. Festool is the same way. But, to me, Bosch has the best and most accessible overall combination. At least for now.Power, great ergonomics, flexibility, and value. I can't ask for much more.

The unit is useless. The instruction manual only address a similar condition ...
I bought this radio in Feb 25 2017 and for initially worked flawlessly for the last six months, however now it stopped working completely. The unit is in some sort of locked mode where it turns on but its controls do not work at all. The unit is useless. The instruction manual only address a similar condition where the recommended solution is to disconnect the unit from the electrical source for a few minutes to let the "software" reset. Well, I disconnected it for more than 24 hours and the unit did not heal itself. Another excellent company with a terrible product.

Nice and loud.
I work in a loud factory and so far this radio is the loudest one compared to other radios employees have brought in. It’s a heavy mother but it’s strong and durable. In the past I had a Milwaukee and a Makita. (Makita is crap - not loud at all). This one beat them hands down.

Very nice radio but their app for it does not work :(
Love it! However their app for it does not work. They send you a paper with it saying to download the app to use to program alarms, do jobsite annoucements etc and the app crashes each time you press anything to use it. None of my apps crash. Also it says last update for their app was 3 years ago. Also I called Bosch on drills I bought with this radio and they treated me like garbage. I returned the drills. Will keep this radio but not happy with Bosch service.

Excellent sound!
The media could not be loaded. I wanted to use this in my garage but the bluetooth will not hookup to my Roger’s Modem. It does easily find my iPad which thankfully works perfectly. I needed something with more volume than my iPad delivers this Bosch Boombox does deliver. The other huge disadvantage was I thought the USB Port played music, after many different tries I found out reading the Leaflet provided it is only a ‘Charging Port’... it would have been perfect had you been able to play music here. Overall I love it, excellent vol and sound.

Awesome
This jobsite radio is very versatile. We took it camping, play in the shop and even play in the house. The bluetooth technology and the actual sound make this a great radio/stereo to have. only problem is that amazon.ca won't let me order the battery for it. I have called and not had any resolution. I also called the company who sells the battery and they have never had a problem shipping to Alberta before but at the check out, it won't let it be shipped.
