Great picture; no CEC over HDMI, disrupts Sonos Arc connection
I really needed this to work to get some 4K content extended to my TV, but it proved to be more of a hassle than anything. First off, I noticed that it didn't support CEC over HDMI. My AppleTV 4K was plugged into the transceiver, but when I did, the AppleTV lost the ability to control the volume up or down or turn off the TV. Bummer there. More importantly, I discovered that having this device simply connected to the TV at the same time my Sonos Arc was on completely disrupted the HDMI ARC connection of the Sonos, rendering it completely inoperable. So while the picture was great, there was only audio to the built-in speakers of the TV... not the Sonos Arc. Overall, I'm really disappointed in the product. I had high hopes, but it let me down entirely.

4K60 with HDR from 1 side of the house to the other.... yep. It works.
This device was mainly purchased so that I could mirror my main PC display from my Office to my Living room. My main display is 4k60 with HDR.Cat 6 is best for long distances when installing these devices. Cat 7 is even better. But I wanted to test the limitations of Cat5e -350mhz cable.I had some existing cable already ran that I used for networking so I just grabbed one of those. This is probably a 40 foot cable and it worked perfectly for running 4k60 with HDR.Once you have it plugged up, you'll have to make sure that your HDMI cables also support 4k60 or 8k just to be sure. Once installed and your main display is working, you just hit the reset button on the main box and then the receiver. After, it just works. Now, the biggest surprise that I had is that if you set it to ARC on the box, my PC was able to detect my Sony Receiver and enable full 7.1 surround sound from my PC all the way into my living room. The other thing is that the receiver that my PC uses also was getting the same 7.1 surround. That is pretty neat in my book.I played a few games in the living area and noticed that the image quality was just as good as if I was in the Office playing them. I was really surprised.I've thoroughly enjoyed this item. I will say that you get what you pay for. My old extender was about $30 but only did 1080p with no HDR support and only would push 2.1 audio through HDMI. While I do feel these are a bit more expensive than most, they flat out work. And that is worth paying a little extra.

4K HDMI Extender is good to go!
Decided to update my hdmi extender to transmit 4K hdr. So far so good! I like the loop out feature instead needing to add a splitter to the mix. Purchased on gofanco website instead to get points.
